Here's my reasoning/perception, and I understand that there will be those who disagree with some or all points.
1. This woman is likely a byproduct of a society that has become too comfortable and entitled and frankly, lazy. She has a boyfriend whom she says she loves. She's functional in their relationship. From what I can tell, we're not talking about someone who can't get out of bed or hears voices all the time or some other extreme manifestation of mental illness or depression.
She will not work. I got that from watching a video about this yesterday. She just "couldn't find anything to do that she liked."
So she has no industrial purpose and apparently feels no obligation to her boyfriend to keep living.
I honestly think she's just so shiftless and lazy and thinks she's entitled to feel like it's Christmas morning every day of her life that she'd rather die than have to exert any effort towards improving her life.
2. And because I don't think this is a legitimate case of someone suffering too much to live, I'll bet a six pack that she chickens out at the last minute. Y'all remember me saying this when in approximately a month, the story hits that she's changed her mind.
3. All that said as long as she's of sound mind, I think she should be able to make the call.

My best friend's dad had the best solution for those who want to kill themselves.
They can do it, but they have to really, really want to.
His solution was to give them a large bucket filled with water. If they want to kill themselves badly enough, they stick their heads in the bucket and drown.
If they don't want to kill themselves badly enough to do it that way, then they don't really want it badly enough to do it.
That's what they need to do with this lazy chick. Give her a bucket and say, "Have at it. We'll make sure your head doesn't fall out of the bucket once you lose consciousness. But the first part's up to you."

They were obviously just trying to get rid of her as a patient (one way or another).
And she probably was a giant PITA patient, but that's obviously no excuse.
BUT...that's what you get with socialized medicine.

People commit suicide all the time for a litany of reasons. If she doesn't want to live who are you to decide that for her? Explain to me why I should care if someone half way around the world doesn't want to live anymore?

Your best friend’s dad is an idiot. Humans have a mammalian diving reflex that makes it impossible to drown yourself in a bucket of water. Your instincts and reflexes kick in.
It’d be like getting a foot amputated without anesthesia and saying, “oh, the patient is clenching his teeth and screaming in pain while he’s watching us saw his foot off, obviously he likes the idea of gangrene spreading everywhere so let’s stop the procedure.”

Well, I'm certain if the Netherlands has done it to over 8,500 people in 2023, they have a qualified department of people making these folks believe it's their only option.
I can assure you that this is 1000% approved and backed by WEF.
With the whole thing of female's sterilizing themselves for population control and climate change, who couldn't see the next level of the slippery slope?

We as a society are becoming more and more barbaric.
Hell, the military and VA psychs throw out suicide as an option, like a legit option to guys now.
Then they turn around and act surprised that so many vets are killing themselves.
