NEW: Last night on @FoxNews, DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin again said he is considering pulling CBP out of sanctuary city airports, adding that "we are currently drawing up plans" to do so. His comments came in response to protests at ICE's Delaney Hall detention facility in Newark, NJ, where he says local police won't respond to assist due to sanctuary policies.
Pulling CBP out of sanctuary airports would have an enormous chain reaction impact, as international travelers would no longer be able to fly into airports like LAX, JFK, San Francisco, Chicago, Newark, Seattle, Denver, Philly, etc, as there would be no customs agents to process them.
Additionally, Mullin points out that Democrats have refused to fund CBP.
It's unclear how serious/advanced this idea is, as Mullin has said no final decision has been made - but such a move would likely have enormous ripple effects if it were to come to fruition.
Thoughts?

Not sure why this type of thing is not already done.
If you hate Border Patrol and don't want them in your city, then how can you complain when they are not in your city?
If funding is in question, send them where they are wanted.

I would delight in this. If these municipalities are in full rebellion against the legitimate authority of the federal government-let them lose the protections granted by said federal government.

Outstanding idea. Please, we beg of you to do it.

Quit talking and threatening and actually do it. Or at the very least arrest these rioters who are NOT peaceful protesters and thrown them in jail these Marxists have made and continue to make a mockery of our legal system.
I’d hoped Trump learned from his first term and the summer of love but he retreated in Minnesota and and is still allowing these lawless people to dictate

As a realist, this is going to hurt the country. So many people will be inconvenienced. So much business could be lost.
As a patriot, I would love to see this. I would love to see the reaction from these cities and the Dems. The media will spin it as always, but sanctuary cities/states are a pox upon the country and should not be allowed.

Mandate it for 6 months from now, unless the airlines and local cities can work it out. It will get settled by hook or by crook

He's trying to avoid taking the whole System down, SD, as he knows that the idiots in the streets will fight en masse and the blood will flow. But just like with the Mullahs, the time will come when confrontation will be inevitable.
The Military and, but for 'sanctuary cities', the Civil LE has mostly been secured. And the coming National Holiday Celebrations will further cement their patriotic allegiance. The muh Dictator narrative will be screamed 24-7 by the Leftist MSM, but that can go away in the space of a day if certain (unmentionable) things happen. Same with the corrupt Courts. Both fan the flames of a 'color revolution'.
Like in LA, where the NG/Marines already made and appearance, 'sanctuary cities' will beg for Trump's Military to establish order and security for basic infrastructure/critical services.

I doubt those cities would budge. Leftism is their religion, and they are willing to do anything for their religion.
Those Democrat leaders will just point out how inconvenient it is and how awful Trump is, preventing citizens from easily getting home to their loved ones.

I’m considering this.
I’m considering that.
I’m considering this again.
I’m considering that again.
Repeat ad nauseum.

Id like to see them take them off the SWIFT banking system for a few hours, thats all it would take for an attitude adjustment

I hate that political games like this are necessary, but this is what the globalists have made necessary by their wanton obfuscation of the rule of law in pursuit of limitless importation of the third world.
