re: DHS Sec. Mullin May Pull CBP from Sanctuary City Airports - No Customs = No Int'l Flights

He’s not closing anything. These cities have a choice to make. It’s their own doing

The claim for this from DHS is "If you aren't going to send officers to support us or help us, then we are going to reroute our own officers from the airports to the facilities to protect our people". Where they say they will take those DHS officers (ICE/CBP) is from the international airports, thus shutting down international travel in and inflicting pain on the city/state.

I'll take brain farts after being kicked in the head while training for MMA, Alex.

I don’t think the city ever got that far in the weeds on sanctuary policies.

As a realist, this is going to hurt the country. So many people will be inconvenienced. So much business could be lost.
So those cities, if wise, would discard their sanctuary status -no?

No, its stupid bc it will impact everyday people, including those with no ties to the city/state.
Every airport can't accept international flights and a great deal of Americans who travel abroad have to connect out of NJ/NY/CALI/IL where this would be targeted.
If they want to make it hurt the city/state but limit impact to Americans, they should scale down operations and say they are only processing American's returning from abroad. Basically shut down international tourism into those locations.

No, the leaders don't give a shite about everyday people. Just look at what they did with the shutdowns. They let things burn to the ground and everyday Americans suffer in order to try to get their way.

I love it. Only negative I see is all the 3rd world travelers being pushed to good areas, and staying there. I have a buddy in the Dallas area that is adamant a big reason dfw has become new Delhi is because of the direct flights from India to DFW over a decade ago. Creating a direct one way pipeline.
Let's only allow in people who are true tourists and business travelers. If they come in with luggage full of of 3rd world shite wrapped up then send them back.
Anyone that watches the Customs shows know what I'm talking about.

This is a big deal no doubt. Lots of scenarios need to be played out. Good to hear the warnings are being put out there, so the cities can prepare either way and can't complain about not being warned.

So extremist blue cities take it on the chin while our country becomes more secure? I mean, that is their issue. As noted, Atlanta isn’t a sanctuary city.
I say throw down the gauntlet.

The cities have now been officially warned, they can govern themselves accordingly. Mullin needs to set an official timeline, a drawdown type schedule.

I think it may be that we just aren't far enough down the self-destruction path that other blue cities have gone.

How does our country become more secure by shutting down customs at certain airports
Newsflash, it doesn't. Its a stunt and will disproportionally impact everyday Americans, which the Dem leadership doesn't give a shite about. They just want to virtue signal.

While that may be a thing for RINOs, there's no desire for virtue signaling from Team 47.
It'd be mind-blowing what they'd already have accomplished in 16 months if the GOP would quit actively obstructing the President and let him fricking cook.

Because those city’s are obstructing law enforcement measures by ICE.
That means criminals are free to go after American citizens.
The Airport is simply a leverage item.
You say that those city’s won’t cave.
I say that we test your boast.
No pain, no gain…

Yeah let’s blame DHS for people being inconvenienced and hurting the country
