The people that were leading the push to get the name changed have probably never been to an Indians game nor will they ever. That's like people from other states negatively reviewing the no-go gay-cake place based upon headlines.

Just saying. I don't watch and will never watch nascar. It would be like me screaming that nascar better change shite. Eh. Baseball is growing quickly in the south and west at the youth levels. It's culturally relevant in over half the cities. It's 24/7 in the northeast. It's growing worldwide. Solidly the 2nd most popular sport in the country.

The scary part about this is they know this and do it anyways. The same can be said about corporations who keep producing woke bullshite that no one is buying. They know they're going to lose money over stuff and they do it anyways.
Corporations and sports teams/leagues no longer do things like this with profit as their motivating factor. I don't know what they're basing success on. That is frightening.

Too bad they didn't take a cue from the World Football League's Shreveport Steamer. The Cleveland Steamer has a nice ring to it.

This is actually my first time seeing what they changed their name to.
Guardians is absolutely horrible. I would also not go or watch were I a former Indians fan. It’s just wrong and doesn’t work.
