BR owes SG about $250 mil. Time to collect.
Hit BR right in the nuts. Broke-dick, dirty, crime-ridden dump of a city should have to pay their debt since they have all this time and money to spend on frivolous legal issues.

I bet the district judge declares the incorporation date as the certification date and everything annexed into BR after that date will be annexed into St. George.

St. George consists of white people living in Baton Rouge who would rather be in Prairieville

Do you have a court order that says it is not incorporated?

Basically, Kleinpeters want to rezone their land so they can put a big commercial development right next to woodridge subdivision and St. George is saying they can't. So Kleinpeters are throwing a temper tantrum.
Wrong. Kleinpeter already had the land a proper zoning for many years. Now that the interchange os open and the property is more valuable, St George wants to change the zoning so he would not be able to do the development.

St George has a 32% black population and I damn sure don't want to live in Prairieville.
(Not that there's anything wrong with that)

It's 4Cubbies for Homeless. This is how it gets attention. By creating alters.

From my understanding… it’s the other way around. They want to be able to continue under the zoning that had been in place before St George.

City St. George is NOT incorporated, therefore is null, void and has no legal authority.
REALLY?

Strange how Kleinpeters never built anything on that land or how no developer tried to buy
They’ve been holding onto the land for many reasons, one of which was access to the interstate, which they have now. You keep repeating falsehoods about the case. The land was zoned the way they want to use it until St George.. that’s the issue

I think the zoning nomenclature changed along the way, but it was commercial of some sort.
The residential subdivision adjacent to the Kleinpeter tract built and folks buying homes knew it could go commercial before they bought.
I think the Kleinpeters should be allowed to build commercial, but they have shouldn’t be allowed to impact drainage, screw up traffic, or not follow city and parish development laws.

I grew up in that area. Glad they finally distanced themselves from BR shite.

What was the cost of the terrible street signs? $2-3m? I laugh every time I see them driving on Bluebonnet or see the new "City of St. George" sign on Perkins by Louisiana nursery.
At no point in any of our lifetimes will anyone think of either of those areas as the City of St George and not Baton Rouge.
Louisiana will never be anything other than a clown show.

And it really sad these sheep who call themselves "Conservatives" support these government bureaucrats dictating how the Klienpeter Family can use their property.
As a conservative, I’m very happy to find out the city is applying a critical eye to zoning.

Happens all the time. Unincorporated area is annexed. Has to meet new zoning rules.

People on St. George were never in Baton Rouge.
But if they had to choose between Prairieville and Baton Rouge you are right that Prairieville would be the easy choice.
