Restaurants are dropping left and right and it’s because of labor costs. Kitchen labor is up 50% since Covid.
During the shutdown, the government was giving free money to anyone that would take it. The labor pool became impossibly small because why would anyone work with free money being given to them? Restaurants still had to pay rent, utilities, etc. so they did to-go only. Finding workers was impossible and started offering more money in efforts to get employees to come to work. Now, workers aren’t just going to go back to pre-Covid hourly rates.
Another big problem is Amazon opening two large warehouses and the food delivery apps. A lot of former kitchen workers work for Amazon and driving for DoorDash/Uber Eats. Both of those are paying ~$20/hour.
Your potato is $12 now because the guy cooking it used to make $10-12/hour and now probably makes $16-18. People keep saying things like “well, I buy potatoes at the store for…” and are missing the entire point.

How did he end up playing at UNC?
This one isn’t rocket science.. He’s from North Carolina. 78% chance he comes from a nice, two parent home. They probably did annual beach family photos in white button shirts. He probably didn’t want to move too far away to make it difficult visiting the family dog.

BFW hates Arkansas with the strongest of passions. This is 100% a (successful) troll.

I second the person that said order with the app. Their app is fantastic and the rewards are great. They also seem to focus on app orders. Order 15-20 min before you’re arriving and you’ll never wait.
re: Is there a reliability difference between stubhub, and seatgeek and other ticket sites?
Posted by BrianFlanagan on 11/1/25 at 11:01 am to AndyJ
I’ve bought 100s of tickets off of them all combined.
Related to your specific wondering, I bought Real Madrid vs PSG Club World Cup tickets over the summer and had no issues.

Reliability like how safe they are to give them your money? StubHub, Seat Geek, Vivid and TicketMaster are all 100% safe. Genuinely.

My guy has Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome and should have a long healthy life. If you survive finding out you have it, it's not too bad to keep under control. Thanks for the prayers!

Has anyone considered the amount of harm to children's hospitals A&M just caused by forcing LSU to scrap for money to get rid of that embarrassment of a coach?"
The Catholic Church has just a little more money than you and I, plus all of the SEC schools combined. I think the children's hospital will be fine. My four year old has a heart condition and they saved his life twice, though, so I appreciate all of the Aggies' concern.

Yall paid $50 million to be rid of your coach after this loss. It was a big moment. Continue to downplay it if you want.
This is obviously true, but no one I know was upset about the loss hoping this would be the outcome. He didn't just get fired for losses. He also got fired for being the biggest douche to ever step foot on campus.

I don't think so.. Enjoy it Aggies. The world will correct itself. Down teams will get back up. Up teams will get back to 8&4.
Can the next coach not get a ten year contract?
Posted by BrianFlanagan on 10/26/25 at 7:53 pm
Will that be too much to ask? Offer the world. Offer something stupid like $15m/year to Kiffin, if that's who they really target. But, can it only be for 3-5 years or are we not going to learn?

For those of you watching the game, how were you able to watch it? I’m in BR and every option I tried said blacked out in your area. Thanks!

LSU won the national championship in 2023 with the best pitcher at any level at that time on their team
Best pitcher who didn't pitch at all in the championship series. Despite winning, I'm still bitter how the College World Series seems to often work out. In a best of three series for the national championship, teams should be allowed to get back to full strength for a true determination of the better team. Thankfully, it worked out for us!

I swear I’m the biggest Burrow fanboy there is. I’ve had the Sunday ticket just to watch his games since he was drafted.
That said, the Bengals OL would be rated better if Burrow wouldn’t treat every play like it was 4th down and the Super Bowl was on the line. He needs to study a bunch of Tom Brady in Tampa film. Too much pressure for there to be enough time for the play to develop? Throw the damn thing away, scream at your OL and break a couple tablets on the sideline. Stop trying to dance in a collapsing pocket on 1st and 10 just to miss your five yard out route. It’s stupid. Burrow is a large part of the problem.

I think some people would say it might have helped that the coach named Bill Belichick had a GM who, coincidentally, had the same exact name as him and they were able to prioritize defensive free agent signings for twenty consecutive seasons. 19, if you subtract the one season they signed an aging but awesome Randy Moss.

Rams shouldn’t have been in that game. Better watch out with that one. You’ll anger some of the people around here. (Not me. I don’t really care.)

You actually just made the argument against Brady. 505 yards and he lost because his defense didn’t carry him. Any idiot that calls Brady the goat after he got thoroughly outplayed by Eli Manning TWICE and put up only 14 points in that first SB shouldn’t talk football anymore.
I’m confused. You do realize Tom Brady didn’t play defense, right? Just to explain: football is what is called a “team game.” Tom put up 505 yards, three TDs and zero picks. They ran for over five yards per carry and had over 600 yards of total offense. Defense couldn’t carry him? Maybe you shouldn’t talk football, anymore. It’s a team game. He didn’t play defense. Bill and the defense couldn’t stop Nick Foles.
Also, he didn’t lose to Eli Manning. He lost to the elite Giants defenses led by Michael Strahan, Justin Tuck, etc. Once again, I don’t think Eli Manning played defense.
