I didn’t realize people hated retiring numbers. I’m a fan. You people probably hate the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument and Mount Rushmore, too.

There’s nothing wrong with honoring key figures to anything. It’s better than having no one to honor. It’s very likely no one will ever have a better season at LSU than Burrow’s. One of the greatest seasons in the history of college football. I’ll be pissed if anyone ever wears 9 again.

The LSU at West Virginia game was the worst sporting event out of the thousand I’ve ever attended. It’s been over 15 years and I still root against WVU because of it. Calling them the worst fans would be too nice.

I have stopped at that RaceTrac 4-5x per week since it was built 5ish years ago. I’ve ever seen someone on a scooter in the parking lot.

This is just some bad luck mixed with some dumb decision making being on a roadway at night on a scooter.

Jalen Carter seems like a cancer. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Eagles try to trade him before a contract extension.

I can tell some of you are not aware of what modern homeschooling looks like. Private schools kids just have more expensive drug habits than hood kids. We used coops for more specific subjects. We had more field trips than I can remember. You have more than enough socialization with bigger umbrella schools. My oldest is on track for nursing school and my youngest finishes college in May with a near 4.0 (one B). She will then attend law school. Was it a sacrifice, sure. Was it worth it, absolutely. Who knows how much of a difference it would have actually made, but the defense most certainly wasn't the same for the games Whit Weeks missed.

My son and I were at the PSG vs Real Madrid match at the Club World Cup. We live in Baton Rouge and I can tell you for fact it was hot as hell in that stadium. My seven year old plays sports all summer and it was hot to the point that he didn't want to be there, anymore. Didn't help that the match sucked.

Please. Please! Do not let anything similar to this happen to me. You know we do not need a fourth dog! They're great. We love them. But, I swear... WE DO NOT NEED A FOURTH DOG! This little pup girl is adorable and we absolutely would keep her. WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER DOG! Teach whoever the terrible people are that left her in the dumpster to be less terrible. Again, please don't let this story happen to us! Thanks for everything you do, just please no more amazing dogs.

This place needs a filter for dog posts. Always either sad or making me want another one.

Restaurants are dropping left and right and it’s because of labor costs. Kitchen labor is up 50% since Covid.

During the shutdown, the government was giving free money to anyone that would take it. The labor pool became impossibly small because why would anyone work with free money being given to them? Restaurants still had to pay rent, utilities, etc. so they did to-go only. Finding workers was impossible and started offering more money in efforts to get employees to come to work. Now, workers aren’t just going to go back to pre-Covid hourly rates.

Another big problem is Amazon opening two large warehouses and the food delivery apps. A lot of former kitchen workers work for Amazon and driving for DoorDash/Uber Eats. Both of those are paying ~$20/hour.

Your potato is $12 now because the guy cooking it used to make $10-12/hour and now probably makes $16-18. People keep saying things like “well, I buy potatoes at the store for…” and are missing the entire point.
