Obama wasn't president in 2008. This guy is a Bush era hire.
So this guy tried to get in 3 different times. When he was finally accepted was in 2009. When Obama was president.
Seems like he got denied under Clinton and Bush.

Received from whom? For what purpose?
I guess if you're high up enough in the CIA you can do that sort of thing?
At least someone had the sense to ask about it.

How does fake timesheets turn to gold bars?

He 'asked for and received' tens of millions in gold bars?
You don't get the gold bars you don't ask for.

Notice how the media conveniently left out who was president when he was hired.
Had it been Trump some how he would have gotten mixed into the conversation.

David Rush, a former senior CIA official with top-secret clearance, was arrested on May 19, 2026, after the FBI discovered approximately 303 gold bars worth over $40 million, $2 million in cash, and 35 luxury watches stashed in his Virginia home. While he requested the assets between November and March for alleged "work-related expenses," he is currently charged with criminal theft of public money, fraudulently obtaining military leave pay, and falsifying academic and military credentials.
Fraudulent Background Claims Prosecutors allege Rush lied for nearly two decades about his qualifications, including false claims of graduating from Clemson University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, serving as a Navy pilot, and attending the US Naval Test Pilot School. Investigations revealed he never attended these institutions, holds no pilot's license, and served in the Navy Reserves only as a lieutenant until his honorable discharge in 2015.
Investigation and Seizure The case originated from a CIA internal audit that identified missing funds, prompting Director John Ratcliffe to refer the matter to the FBI. During a raid on May 18, agents seized the gold and currency, noting that while some funds were found in an office storage space, the majority were hidden at his residence; Rush remains in federal custody awaiting further hearings.

How the hell does this happen with a position with top secret clearance?
I'd love to see the trail on that.

Put the gold in Fort Knox so we know we have at least $40 million worth of physical gold. Then we can print one billion paper dollars with the collateral.

I, for one, have always thought it might be extremely important to vet a CIA hire. But, thats just me, maybe I'm wrong.

Hopefully, they will look into if he had any political leanings. Could be a "we will look the other way for ten percent" deal. Seems like we have a current political party a hundred percent funded by fraud currently.

23. Based on conversations with employees from the USG, between on or around November 2025 through on or around March 2026, RUSH made several requests to the USG to obtain a significant quantity of foreign currency and tens of millions of dollars in gold bars for work-related expenses. RUSH received the currency and gold bars.
24. A review of the storage space at the USG where RUSH had an office in which he stored the currency upon receipt revealed that only a portion of the currency he received remained in the storage space.
Who doesn’t have to have some petty cash?

This can't possibly be as easy as bringing a couple of pens home from the office.

Is it safe to say that security at Langley might be somewhat lax?
Also, why are they storing gold bars there?
