Exactly! If they lose their guaranteed ACC games and the other Power 4 teams refuse to schedule them their toughest games annually will be against the service academies. Good luck making the top 12 playing a schedule like that.

I don't think any one particular thing happened. We lost a ton up front on defense from last year. The defense is just not that good. We've squeaked by all year because our offense is elite. It was only a matter of time before the wheels came off on defense. I also think our new D coordinator is in a bit over his head. He's a first-time coordinator and it's not going well for him. You guys are going to hammer us unless you turn it over and allow us to control the clock. If we get any defense at all it might be a shootout type game.

He's got a long history of eye-opening character flaws but that doesn't mean he can't change/grow up. Seems to have done that at FAU and Ole Miss. While 95% of LSU fans seem goo goo eyed over Lane there is no guarantee he will step into the meat grinder of pressure that will come with taking the LSU job and have success at the level expected by the fanbase. Odds are he wont. Up to now he's never won anything of consequence his entire career as a head coach other than some bowl games.

He's comfortable and under way less pressure at Ole Miss and having a lot of success and is about to have his first shot to win something legit. The Florida job would also come with high expectations and similar pressure so whatever decision he makes will be very interesting. I find this whole thing highly entertaining because the meltdown at two of these schools will be epic. :lol:

First off no random fan would be in that tunnel unless they had left the stands in which case they would be arrested anyway and what dumbass decided it was a good idea to keep "a substantial amount of munitions" in a tunnel at a football game where 100k people are at? You want to fire a cannon or something after you score then fine but if it's that big of a thing that you have to keep a shitload of munitions in the tunnel then you're an idiot. Find another way.

Let's call it what it is. A dumbass cop on a power trip was pissed that South Carolina was beating the shite out of Aggie so he decided to take his aggressions out on the two players in the tunnel by shouldering them and starting some shite. I guess he thought he was doing his part for Aggie. He's a fricking dumbass. What I would give to have seen the player turn around and get in that cop's face and let's see where it goes from there. He's got no business interjecting himself into the game in anyway shape or form unless a player goes into the stands to fight a fan or vice versa. Any cop that would act like that at a football game has no business being a cop. I don't give a shite how little they're paid. That's no excuse. You can't lose the number of starters and overall talent that they lost from last year's team and still be #1 or even top 5. This was an easy call. They still have a solid team but their Oline is soft and they have no playmakers at WR. The defensive front 6 is not near as good as last year. They'll be better next year.
