You're going to get hammered for making this post right after losing to Bama however generally speaking, you're not wrong. Big picture this is all about the money and the conference will protect the top teams as best they can and try and get as many of them in the playoff as possible.

SEC officiating is horrendous. Everyone on this website would agree on that but you'll never see the SEC do what the ACC did by making the replay reviews transparent or really do much of anything to improve the officiating. It's how they can have some kind of influence on the outcome of games. Money has destroyed college athletics in more ways than one. If they really wanted to clean this stuff up in college sports they should make all football officials full time employees of the NCAA and no longer affiliate them with a conference. Then hold them to the highest standards.

Key isn't leaving Tech unless the school and/or the school President does a 180 and decides to reverse course on the current multi-year buildup and investment into the football program. What Key IS going to do is leverage any interest in himself to gain additional financial support to further elevate the football program (NIL, staff etc...)

His goal is to compete at the highest level and bring Tech back to the consistent level of winning we were at in the Dodd era. A tall task but the man has a vision. There are plenty of ultra wealthy alums that contribute a shite ton to the school but not really anything to athletics. That's the crowd that he and the school president are trying to tap into in an effort to truly elevate the program. I hope he can make it all happen. We'll see.

Auburn fans are idiots. They had a new coach with a phenomenal track record in Harsin and he even won some big games early on and gave bama all they could handle and their response was to honeypot him and try and fire him with cause. Then they turn around and hire Captain Hooker who has failed miserably mainly because he can't find a QB. What idiot worth half a shite would want to coach there? That place is a career killer. You have no patience or support from the admin or the big money guys. They're looking for excuses to fire you right after the introductory press conference.

The best thing Aubie could do is hire someone on the cheap like Cadillac who actually gives a shite about that place and pay big money for coordinators and staff to surround him with people who can help him be successful. Then go buy some players.
