People see this and think that it’s a bad thing for China. Being that they have a huge amount of poor population that China considers a negative economic impact then dropping their population is a net positive thing for years to come

They are going to have to maintain a consistent GDP for decades with a drastic reduction in productive manhours to keep their elderly population fed.
IMO the push to go to domestic EV and solar was fueled by Chinese influencers as a means to increase the value of the manhours long-term vs. the same manhours being under utilized stitching together shirts and handbags.
