China wasnt ever really a military power, the problem with China is they made workers in developed countries compete with basically slave labor. You can debate how we should have handled that and whether our workers did or didnt deserve protections from it but there's no question China tanked wages for low skilled workers all around the world, especially in developed countries.

Saw some clickbait stuff on the interwebs the other day where a scientist questions China's claims of 1.4B people currently.
Something like the population was 600m in 1950 when the CCP took over and in order to reach 1.4B, the average woman would have had to have 5.5 kids.
True or not, who knows...

Has China ever been a true world power
And not for nothing, but China is absolutely a major world power NOW

lets send them some of our cultural enrichment and diversity. we can start with the Muslims.
China treats Islam like a virus.
It’s one smart thing they do.
They barely tolerate other religions because communism is their premier religion.

They should open their borders and bring in all of the 3rd world countries who assimilate so well here. They have 8-10 children per household.

This is great news. Lets send all illegals to them. After working in China mills & farms, they'll self-deport within 36 months.

Thing is with China: if they decide they need to boost their population, they’ll give the command for men and women to start fricking. And they’ll listen. In 15 years, we’ll be reading about the new Chinese family that has 10+ kids.

Where is he getting the numbers for these calculations, the communist govt?

China has historically been the world’s largest or second largest economy for the past 3000 years.
China has often been the wealthiest nation on Earth.
China has fought many many countless wars with their neighbors in the Korean peninsula, Mongolian Steppes, Indochina, Taiwan, Siberia, and the Stans. Because these wars did not effect European empires, we get the impression that they didn’t matter. China was effectively the Rome of the East.

They’d still have 440 million people in 2100 as well if they lost 40% of their population.

This isn't true. They have been trying for years with no luck. They have implemented all kinds of incentives, and nothing works. There just are not enough women of child bearing age over there. And the ones that are there grew up in a one-child home, so that's what they know. They don't want a bunch of kids. They often want one kid, because that's what they know.

Who would of thought....government trying to fix something (One child policy) and people reacting differently then expected (aborting female pregnancies because culturally, a male child takes care of his parents and has more opportunities in china)

The linked article claims 40% is the absolute best case scenario. The author thinks it will be closer to 75 percent.
I'm sure the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Looking into it more. Chinas age of consent is 14, gross.

Is China behaving like a country that is worried about its population and demographics?
If the answer is no then the follow up question is…why?

Well, China didn't make us do that as much as we did it to ourselves.

Clearly they approach this from a physiological frame rather than a moral frame.
