This is China, not America. They don’t spend money on people living in poverty. They instituted one-child to free up resources, like food, so that there would be excess to supply the growing cities. What they did not count on was that couples would choose to kill girls so that their one baby would be a boy. This has left them with a severe shortage of women and a plummeting birth rate that is threatening their economy.

I mentioned it in an earlier post, Deng Xiaoping probably brought about an unrivaled economic revolution but trusted a Rome Club influenced mathematician to enact this policy. You are probably familiar with them. If not, there are some crazy reads out there on them and their influence on global warming policy.

As for the abandoned Chinese girls who were not killed or aborted over the decades, their fates were mostly horrific. Adoption by U.S. citizens(and other nations) and childless Chinese families saved some, but that was an underwhelming percentage. Mortality rates told Pol Pot to ‘hold my beer’.
