So he's the authority that Christians should listen to?

.....and he came to this conclusion I suppose after decades of rigorous research and monastic study burying himself in texts fom City of God to Summa Theologica and examining Apologists in depth?

Or is this just him spouting off for Political Chrstianity to get clicks and more money for Turning Point.

You can make a lot of arguments that socialism is Christian.

The concept of socialism in a local body/organization is completely consistent with Christianity.

Socialism, as a leftist construct, is 99% anti-Christian precisely because it is leftist.

Just leave politics and religion separate.

That’s impossible. Politics and religion inform each other. They’re visions of what society should look like based upon personal and group values.

It’s like saying “ethics and law should be separate.”

If the "politics" of Christianity are in direct contrast with either political movement, therein lies the rub.

Having a personal religious belief is separate from a governmental preference.

If a person truly believes government should reflect Christianity (which Kirk is effectively doing), then that government should strive to ensure everyone is poor.

Yeah. It’s not the pink haired lesbians taking over certain denominations.

It’s totally MAGA.

You people are hilarious.

You don’t need to do years of research to see that the progressive agenda is explicitly anti-Christian.

But, they're not.

Or else show me where Charlie Kirk is promoting a version of government that looks like this:

quote:

That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God

. I do not understand how a professing Christian can vote Democrat

I’m sure Jesus would be super excited about late term and post birth abortion.

He’d probably have some things to say about Joel Osteen and that ilk as well, but the modern DNC platform is clearly post Judeo-Christian in its morality and worldview.

You're just a tad off there. Try again once you read the part about the choice made between Jesus and Barrabas. It was the Roman system that administered the punishment.

Yeah. Im sure if Jesus came back he would agree that Trump is a perfect representation of the ideals he espoused in the Gospels.

Its actually hard to think of anyone less Christ-like than Trump and Trump/MAGA has singlehandedly done more to damage the church than anyone in recent history

Trump is exactly like some of Jesus’ disciples. There’s countless stories of God using men of questionable character to do His work. Trump has done more to stem the tide against the destruction of Christianity in America than any President in recent history. Why the media can’t get Christians to turn against Trump. Sorry you are too small minded to understand that.

I don't think there is any Biblical authority dictating that they be siloed. I think the latter informing the former would be a violation of the first commandment.

This is silly, IMO. I believe it would be ideal for government to reflect Christianity. But the story of Christianity isn't limited to poverty.

Kirk addresses this in the video if you feel like watching it. If not, the tl;dr version is we're not voting for the most Christlike candidate. We're voting for the candidate whose policies do not support evil

Even if i agreed with that last bit, which i dont, I dont think its arguable that Trump/MAGA is driving people from the pews in droves, but more importantly….

…..fierce support of your ideals doesn’t require supporting such an obviously un-christ-like figure. I suppose the argument would be “well its a binary choice” to which i would respond…..how far do you take that?

Of course this means nothing if you think Trump is an awesome and great man.

I just left my church and church group bc I agree with this. I don't mind liberals that much if they're friendly but I can't stand Christian liberals
