Coming from the lawyer. You would make a good disciple as well.

But the story of Christianity isn't limited to poverty.

So you are curating which teachings reflect the parts of Christianity that apply to its role in government?

I wonder if Democrats can do the same sort of curation.

Even if i agreed with that last bit, which i dont, I dont think its arguable that Trump/MAGA is driving people from the pews in droves, but more importantly….

The Church turning away from the Word of God is driving people from the pews.

Trump is exactly like some of Jesus’ disciples. There’s countless stories of God using men of questionable character to do His work. Trump has done more to stem the tide against the destruction of Christianity in America than any President in recent history. Why the media can’t get Christians to turn against Trump. Sorry you are too small minded to understand that.

When is the "turn and follow me" part going to begin?

He would not. He would see a coarse man with a large ego. And would probably advise him to GIVE AWAY all he had and follow him.

fixed it for you - but trump would probably just put his "brand" on it, sell it and make a dollar.

Read some more. Read Augustine in particular...read the Gospels in totality, not just selected passages.

Its actually hard to think of anyone less Christ-like than Trump

Pedophile Biden, dirty prosecutor Harris, and war criminal Pelosi come to mind.

At least DJT is squeamish about bombing brown people, and gave us a refundable child tax credit.

You would have a point if the Dems nominated someone like Tulsi, Bernie, or Kucinich. Establishment Democrats are the polar opposite of Christ.

I'm doing the opposite of that, which is what you're doing. This is a bad argument all the way around for you.

You said a Christian state would necessitate everyone to be poor, I stated that the story of Christianity doesn't reflect or dictate this. You're taking selected teachings/themes and making them the whole - I'm saying the whole stands by itself.

Depends.

First define exactly what a Christian truly is and then take a person who professes to be one and compare this with how he views right and wrong action.

I don't think there is anyone who can describe what a true Christian really is. No matter whatever definition you can come up with, anyone else who disagrees and says they are a true Christian can contradict your definition.

Which of you is right? It's just matter of opinion.

If you can be honest and answer the question of who cried "crucify him". You will have the answer then. I don't think you can be honest though, so it's a moot point.

Half of all Catholic voters last election went for Biden along with about 40% of protestants.

Brilliant strategy to pull voters to Trump. Tell millions of Christians they aren't Christian.

That's curation.

That's exactly what Leftist Christians do to make the conservatives the evil ones in their curated version of Christian-based government.

I don't agree. Christians who understand and try to follow their faith understand exactly what Kirk said. The Democratic/Communist party's ideology is basically evil. You may not recognize it or agree, but that doesn't make it any less true.

An unpopular opinion: Jesus of Nazareth was not a Christian in the way we think of what a "Christian" is in 21st Century America.

Romans made the decision to kill him and carried out the execution.

You should use your antisemitism and speak to some pro-Palestine types about Jews. They are more your audience.
