California wants to change the definition of 'self-defense'

Valley officials discuss new bill that would make it illegal to defend yourself
Assembly Bill 1333, making self-defense during crimes, like home break-ins, illegal.
“If somebody broke into somebody’s house, then that individual, the homeowner had to do everything within their power to either leave, flee and prove that the individual is trying to kill them if they used necessary self-defense and took that individual out”
“It would also not be justifiable if you used more force than necessary to defend against the danger."
killing in self defence is NOT justified if
(1) you could have retreated,
(2) you used more force than reasonably necessary,
(3) you provoked the person, and failed to exhaust every means of terminating the encounter.

This sounds like a golden opportunity for the YouTube and TikTok pranksters to put some body armor on, and get some California politicians thrown in prison after breaking into their homes to “ask for directions to the nearest youth center.”

I conceal carry literally everywhere I go except work since colleges are, stupidly, "gun free zones." My gf does as well. If anyone attacks me her or any other law abiding citizen around me I have no issues with swiftly dispatching them to the void with prejudice, putting to work skills honed over two deployments in their fake wars.
