Your weekly reminder - if Bud Lights campaign was successful 10+ other companies would’ve done the same thing right away. Never drinking that beer again.

Bud light has learned a hard lesson

Bug light is fvcked in perpetuity....self imposed.

My take is, Bud Light needs to be made an example of. That's nice they are trying to appeal to their core consumer base again. But at this point it's not enough. Unless they openly apologize and denounce transgenderism, and until then they need to continue to sink and be mocked. F*ck them.

Their move to advertise through Dylan Mulvaney, who's social media stats reveal has a near majority of viewers under 21 (remember, we're talking alcohol), revealed they support all this transgender nonsense.
You want to have a chance at pulling people back? Saying they like beards and trucks and horses and American flags isn't enough. You need to come out against Dylan Mulvaney, men infiltrating women only spaces, mandatory preferred pronouns, surgeries and hormones for kids, etc.
You already took their side, why can't you take ours? You can't because you still believe in their side. Football and beaches and fast cars are cool and all, but you already showed your hand. You could have kept it neutral, and no one would have cared. But you didn't. By weighing in in the first place, you're now expected to take a stand against all of the aformentioned nonsense.

Jesus. It’s not even a good commercial.
It’s the most blatant display of pandering I’ve seen since that “hello fellow kids” sketch.
Anyone who falls for this shite is a moron.

In Publix a few weeks ago and saw an adult woman shopping with her older father. He picked up some Bud Light and she said “put that back, that’s the gay beer.”

Managing Director Rawdon Glover (he/him) doubling down:

"If we play in the same way that everybody else does, we'll just get drowned out. So we shouldn't turn up like an auto brand," Glover said.
He continued, "We need to re-establish our brand and at a completely different price point so we need to act differently. We wanted to move away from traditional automotive stereotypes."

I still drink bud light bc idgaf. if they really wanna win back their fans make a 16oz twist top american themed bottle and make it $1 less than everyone else. easy

I don't think the lost sales will ever come back because people have plenty of better options. Bud Light is not even close to being the best beer.

Not as dumb as thinking anything but perception drives marketing for a product like bland light beer.

Their new ad campaigns are great. I hope they can make a comeback for the good of the economy

It really is. Have they no C-suite control? Good Lord, a child could have seen this coming.

Bud Light's lost customers never came back, in fact their slide has just continued.
Good to hear it. Kid Rock, unfortunately, wasn't able to stick with the boycott that he helped create. I always get downvoted for saying it for some reason, but he totally cucked out over a piss beer.

How so?
The company changed their branding to something antithetical to a significant portion of their customer base, then doubled down in calling their customers ignorant and still refuse to fire the woman responsible for all of it.
Do you make a habit of establishing brand loyalty with companies who think and openly state that they loathe you? If so why?

it’s incredible that one chick hiring a dude pretending to be a chick sunk one of the biggest brands
She was a DEI hire from Harvard who never hung out with the types of people who drink Budweiser and made one of the most legendarily stupid moves in American business history.
You’d have been better off hiring the fattest dude outside Tiger Stadium drinking a Bud to do her job. Way better off actually.
They could have run a campaign off of just filming 4 LSU fans with Buds in their hands talking about football like a reality show and getting the best 30 seconds for a commercial.

Their beer already sucked. Lots of people got awareness of this once they tried other beers that weren’t transbeers. They ain’t coming back now they have gotten a taste of other better beers.

That chick ran a long standing US company into the ground in about 5 seconds
WTF was she thinking.
Budweiser historically has been one of the best marketers of any company I remember. The frogs, the “whazaaa”, all that shite… they should’ve brought that back. Everyone remembers them and I was a kid when they came out. Now I’m of drinking age. I’m not the only one.
But sure let’s go with the chick from Harvard because we want a girl for diversity to sell beer to working class dudes with beer guts.
