She's an Ivy educated, man hating, liberal bitch who thought it would be funny to subtly stick it to the rednecks she despised.
She got *waaay* out over her skis though, and wildly underestimated the backlash.

If we were smart we’d stop buying all AB brands as well. AB owns Modelo everywhere except the USA.

Manning handing out money to drink their beer was beyond terrible.
Posted on 11/23/24 at 9:41 am to StansberryRules
It’s beyond a boycott at this point. I just won’t buy the beer again, despite the advertising.
They made it clear that certain demographics (in this particular case a primary demographic) no longer matter to them, so why does their beer matter to me. It doesn’t.

quote:No they didn't. It was just her. She's gone.
The company changed their branding to something antithetical to a significant portion of their customer base, then doubled down in calling their customers ignorant and still refuse to fire the woman responsible for all of it.
quote:No, and Bud Light didn't do that.
Do you make a habit of establishing brand loyalty with companies who think and openly state that they loathe you

It was shite beer to begin with but people drank it because that’s what they’d always drank. They tried different stuff, realized bud light was garbage, and permanently switched. Things like this happen when anyone lets a liberal white woman make a decision.

That’s not how major corporations do marketing campaigns. No campaign goes out without multiple people at a senior level seeing it and signing off on it, often including the CEO. The fact that they also removed (not fired) her boss indicates at a minimum it wasn’t just the woman at fault.
Even if in your unlikely scenario where she somehow snuck this through without anyone else knowing that would indicate incredible mismanagement and they would still own the consequences.

A senior exec in their marketing department called their customer base out of touch. You can spin it however you like.
No one at Anheuser-Busch ever even directly apologized for it, they just did a couple of HR type generic non apologies and hoped it would blow over if they got Dana White to sell their beer at ufc fights.

This is me. I doubt I've had a Budweiser product this century. Once I started trying craft beers I was hooked.

“This board’s take?”
The market’s take is what we are discussing.
Bud Light, through complete stupidity, erased billions in market share and decades of brand loyalty.
It’s virtually impossible to gain that back.
Posted on 11/23/24 at 10:25 am to StansberryRules
Funny commercial, but it’s gonna take a while to win back market share. Typically, when there’s a black swan event, either caused by internal or external forces and market share starts to evaporate, the only decent way to get that back is by price. And I don’t see Bud Light on the store shelves for 60% off

BL drinkers switched to better beers. Even if they wanted to go back to drinking that horse piss, It’d be hard to swallow.

Nothing about the beer is better than the next American lager, people just bought it out of habit and it was the standard generic brand that everyone drank. They lost that, not sure they will ever get that back because habits were broken.
1000% this
A majority drank it out of habit. They knew it and drank it. Once they went tranny drinkers tried other beers and realized what they were missing.
Yuengling made out bigtime because they were just expanding west a few months prior to this. In OK, we got Yuengling and a bar I go to still has it on tap as their #1 beer. They still have 0 BL taps (had 3 prior).
Now drinkers are in the habit of Yuengling or another beer and that will never change. Plus if a person is somewhere and they don’t have preferred they will intentionally ask for anything but BL.

What?
The market reaction shows how dumb BL was you mean. You have the #1 selling beer brand and just need to make funny commercials. But nope, they associated trannies with their beer brand/drinkers. One of if not the biggest advertising blunders in history.
And Jaguar is next. No real man will ever buy a Jaguar again.
BL deserves every bit of loss they are getting. This goes beyond them it helps tell corporate America to stop with the BS DEI and associated crap.

It was perfectly timed with Modelo launching a massive ad campaign aimed at the Macho Vatos.
