I get that he has a medical issue but that is not a excuse in Russia. Someone with his experience in Russia should have known better, this is on him 100%. You want to go there then follow their rules.

I agree with this 100%. Of course weed has tremendous medical benefits and is becoming more and more socially accepted/legal everyday here in the US, which is why the US is the greatest country on earth, bc popular opinion generally rules. This is not so true in countries like Russia. Thats like trying to smuggle drugs into the middle east. He should have definitely known better.

Had Griner respected the laws of the sovereign Russian Peoples she wouldn't be facing prison. The lesson here? Don't traffic in cannabis (or drugs) in Russia.
