That's what killed him at Florida.
When the floodgates opened in 2019 he basically went to UF for more support (bagmen) and Florida told him no this is a fad and pushed for legislation banning NIL at the state level.
The Napier era was a self inflicted wound that started there.

This stopped being interesting to follow once NIL hit.
The money stopped most of these 18-19 year olds from doing the stupid shite they do because they have a strong financial incentive to stay relatively clean.

Zook. He was that bad after all, but comparatively his awful seasons were better than the ones that saved Napier's job after 2024.
And he was a hell of a recruiter, built much of the team that won 2006 and a chunk of 2008 titles.

Every SEC team scored at least 20 against us. Troy scored 31.
Next year only two teams did in the regular season. In 2009 only one did.
