I don’t discount that Islam can be and has been a problem the world over. London has lived through it as we all know. I just don’t rush to that conclusion (based on her post) which is what she’s wanting her readers to do (jumping to conclusions of any kind). It’s passive manipulation that drives engagement and is playing off of narratives that have taken a more prominent position based on what I’ve seen here over recent months. Which is largely driven by social media accounts. Subtlety is what matters there. From there, biases (more on that in a second) will take over with the individual reader. You can see it with some responses here already. People need to slow down but not in this day and age. If she included that the fire is at a recycling plant this is a nonstory from her side of things.

I am not telling you that biases exist without reason and that they cannot be beneficial at times. But the knee jerk reaction borne out of it is a problem and social media thrives off of it due to the monetization aspect of it. They require it. The more outlandish, the rush to be first… it’s all targeted to an audience that have in mind: You.

And they thank you for it when they spend their money.

Now for those of you that will deny that she isn’t manipulating you… wake the hell up.

Especially due to recent events, this title is 100% clickbait.

Because it very likely is not terrorism or the Russians treating London like hitler did. British media is covering it, as they should, because it's impacting the air quality.

Yet libsoftiktok thought it was important enough (gee I wonder why) to inform her legions of followers without any of the limited context I just provided. Just "Explosion in London" which was purposely hyperbolic at this stage.
