Exactly. But what libsoftiktok did there is a very passive form of manipulation. There is zero context given. Which leaves the reader to assume the worst (some form of terrorism or outright war based on the location and recent history) from her subscribers who are wanting to reach that conclusion already. Maybe it is terrorism. It wouldn’t be the first time. But the rush to go there before we really know anything is one of the problems with social media. shite like this is another way that we further our societal breakdown which is already really really bad. People need to slow down and let investigations happen. But when social media is monetized who gives a shite… it’s about clicks and driving engagement. “Explosion in London” does that.
“An explosion in London is currently being investigated. Earlier reports of a gas leak are thought to be the cause. More at 11.” doesn’t really do that.

The headline is literally just “Explosion in London”
Literally no other statement could be more factual or less biased.
The only person who rushed to a conclusion or assumed anything is you. You just assumed that because of the messenger that, presumably, you don’t like said the word explosion that must automatically mean they and her readers want it to be terrorism.
Such a narrow minded point of view.

Then why on Earth would anyone ever consider a country overrun by muslims, could be responsible for a fire/explosion in London? Stereotypes exist for a reason. If you don't like it, ask the Muslims to be better. Ask them to be peaceful, and ask them to not condone those that are not.
