pointed out that the defense will appeal on the issue, as did others ITT. It’s a fact.
So, defense counsel agreed to all jurors and alternates, but their argument in a losing case is it wasn't fair and equitable. Genius tactic

Did you watch the O.J. trial? The evidence is overwhelming that he murdered her. A black juror said: 'Das jus it. Dere was TOO MUCH evidence.' I guess her logic was that it must be a conspiracy by the white people. If he really killed her there would just be a little bit of evidence. But Noooo.
A black juror in that case admitted in a TV interview that she only voted not guilty as a response to the Rodney King BS.

They had a potential black male juror tell them that he couldn't see himself putting a "Young Brotha" in jail.
Anyone who thinks that would be a sustainable Baston Challenge, does not understand Baston Challenges.

You don’t think that happened in voire dire? My guess is that article is a bit hyperbolic.

There is no tilt whatsoever to what I posted. None.
Yes there is. Batson challenges are made during the jury selection process. These jurors were eliminated for cause. Not because of their race.

I know what it is
Not sure why any of you are arguing that incredibly neutral point. Again, a point that several others correctly also made.

It certainly did. The trial judge clearly shot it down.
They’ll still raise it on appeal presuming the defense persevered their objection on the record.

Brother you can say it cause you an agnant black boy. However I can’t cause I’m white. Tell us you racist without telling us you racist. And take the kunta kinda cap off

Don't be sucked into the programming.... it's because of their answers to the questions and their perceived suitability.
I've only served on a jury once. It was neat to actually see how the selection process works.
Guy was arrested for selling drugs near a school. The defense attorney asked the lady beside me what her occupation was, she replied, "I'm a schoolteacher." I immediately leaned towards another guy and said "she's gone".

Can appeals be based on racial make up of the jury?
No, only if their race was used as a factor. i.e. "most blacks are racist, so we shouldn't use them".
...but the absolute most they could have expected to have had was probably one black juror. ...and that was even a stretch.

who sits and listens to those people, especially that first guy. you need to reexamine your life if you are listening to those people for more than 5 seconds.

Their African roots align tribal traits, always anticipating an attack esp from someone of the white race!!

Did you see the answers that got the potential jurors eliminated?

Yes.
You seem to be under the stupid and incorrect impression that I believe it would be a successful basis for an appeal. I don’t, and it won’t.
They’ll still try it because that’s how criminal appeals go. They try everything.

And yet you couldn't bolt into the thread fast enough to somehow think you were making some sort of relevant point with that drivel.

Do you not think they will attempt a Baston challenge?
On another note, I find it odd that the culture that refuses to talk to the police should be trusted on a jury.
If they don’t trust the police why would they trust the prosecution?

Sure. Do you think it would be also relevant to discuss the hundred plus other pieces of shite arguments that will get thrown up against the wall on appeal in the case of a conviction (which is pretty much done on every conviction) on the .5% chance any one of them might stick?
