re: Looks like Tua Is Done in Miami

He was drafted too high based off his medical history and paid WAY too much based off injuries and inconsistent play. I love the kid to death and think he’s a great young man. But I think the competition, weekly grind and injuries have popped him right in the kisser and he’s having a terrible time accepting or adapting. That whole team needs to be blown up cause the coach is kinda like a nerdy goof that nobody really respects and their roster is just getting worse.

2nd play, RT gets pushed back into the pulling TE and he can’t/doesn’t make the block. Not a game changer but that’s the stuff I keep seeing on Saturdays. Someone gets beat or blows an assignment and play is negative or minimal.
Again:

OL is so bad by Bama standards.

RBs are beyond pedestrian, nothing dynamic at all.

Too many drops and missed throws.

If you can’t run the ball in the SEC then this is your ceiling. Too many good coaches with the talent to make you pay. Ty has some growing up to do this offseason. But the OL and Grubb have done him almost no favors these last few months.
I keep hoping they’ll kill Robin. Just make it stop.

I think he’s a first year starter with a sketchy OL. Grubb also gets really squirrelly with his play calling these days. Everyone has tape on him now and they know we struggle to run and refuse to get the ball out quickly against pressure.

I believe he’s taking some big hits and he doesn’t trust the OL sometimes. He’s not comfortable and he isn’t getting much help from his RBs either. You don’t see them make too many “big” plays. They’re the least dynamic I’ve seen in about 20yrs.
Protesting is an easy way to express anger and self righteousness with very little skin in the game.
They definitely don’t need to call the kid “dipshit” 20 times. We got the joke already.

I feel like we need to work on our screen game down the stretch. We don't run the ball well and Simpson is mobile but not a game breaker. He needs to get the ball out faster in the flats or we need to develop some screens to our RB. Teams are getting too much pressure on us and we aren't making them pay.

There was a time when I was a kid that I would have given anything to be able to do this.
The greater Nashville area looked like a ghost town when some sweeps were being done by the THP and state police. There are far more illegals here than any Democrat will admit and they are having a massive, negative impact on so many things.

We'd want him strung up as well. As soon as he blows a game after tweeting through the week we will say he isn't cut out and start looking for the next savior.

See, it is possible.

I wouldn't call this an air raid scheme. We're about 60/40 pass to run. We just can't run the ball well.

My feelings as well.

I think we'd be fine running the ball more and grinding clock. But right now we just find ourselves behind the chains too often.
Oklahoma capitalized on our mistakes and didn't make any that were back-breakers.

You can't have a pick 6, 2 fumbles at your own 30 and blow an easy 36yd fg right before the half. We dropped a few interceptions and possibly 3-4 passes on offense. We were in the game all day with a chance to win at the end. If we play a relatively clean game we win that one by 10-13 points. Sadly we punched ourselves in the dick a lot Saturday.

Our OL was trash Saban's last few years too

This is an understatement. We love to remember that 2012 OL and we had a few good ones after. But we haven't had "great OL units" for quite a bit. Our weapons or stellar QB play (Tua, Mac, Bryce) masked a lot of problems up front.

These loony left chicks eat better and better each year.
RG was slanting left but also got shoved back by their DT.

RT gets to the 2nd level but can't make the block.

TE comes in for the wham block on the DE but there is no hole.

LG basically takes on a double team and held up ok.

The CB is also coming downhill from the outside.

Sadly this play was just bad all the way around. If they check out and Ty throws it up top it should be an easy first down.
I thought I was Spider-man when I was a toddler. Turns out I wasn't, it was just a phase.

IIRC this is the very first sketch on the pilot episode. Talk about swinging for the fences right out of the gate
I'm not a fan of the "tush-push". But that same infraction could happen on a standard QB sneak. That is piss poor officiating and the officials should be dealt with. That should be as easy as throwing a flag for a false start on a passing play.
