You’re right. The state of Israel floated up to the surface from a bottomless pit of American tax dollars

Trump has put us into a situation where the US could easily be drawn in.

We know your stand from all of your gleeful posts yesterday and last night.

While I likely agree with some of your underlying premises. This is an absurd straw man and false equivalence.

The Hebrews were problematic for the Romans. Starting uprisings that forced Roman governors to beseech the emperor to use extra legions to quell them. It was seen as an existential problem until the Romans decided that it would no longer be an existential problem.

Is the pope calling for Open borders? Was the last pope a communist?

You want to explain Catholic Charities?

Sure their land is historic but that doesn’t sway my position. Israel is an ally and should be supported.

As a Christian I support Israel to the extent they have the right to exist as a nation and to defend themselves against those who vow to destroy Israel, other than that I'm not a rah, rah Israel guy.

President Trump said we're not going to war with Iran. I believe him.

So far, I've seen no evidence of it. What are you guys so fearful of?

Do you not trust President Trump on this?

No. I support Israel's right to defend itself, but we're already involved. We've been sharing intelligence with the Israelis, helped shoot down incoming missiles. Have beefed up our assets in the region.

Trump clearly told Israel when they were allowed to attack & not attack. He's backed himself into a corner. One strike on any US base or embassy will lead to direct engagement.

We have enough domestic issues of our own to deal with right now. Sending troops and getting drugged into an all-out war in the Middle East shouldn't be on the radar right now.

Trump's Image As "Peacemaker" Is Faltering

Yeah, I do. And those promises were fulfilled by the coming of Jesus and the establishment of Christianity and Christendom. Those who continue to follow Judaism follow an extinct covenant that was finished by the Crucifixion. The current state of Israel is Israel in name only. The New Israel is Christianity and the Old Israel was destroyed in AD 70 when the Romans destroyed the Temple.

Agreed. When Jesus gave his life for us, everything changed.

But, even if that’s not enough and folks still hold to Old Testament, I believe the current state of Israel is not the Israel of Abraham that is spoken of.

God will keep every word he spoke to the letter; Israel was not forgotten by God.

In fact, there are many prophecies of in the Old Testament about him being rejected, and yet he would redeem Israel.

You are looking at very false teachings of replacement theology, like one church teaching they would make things so good, God would come back to a peaceful world due to their teachings, see were that has gotten the world.

Then you have those that teach the church replaced Israel this to is a false teaching.

True. The Jews as a religion have rejected the Messiah Jesus Christ. The Jews were chosen by God to be the earthly race of the Messiah Jesus Christ. The Jews, as a religious group, do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah. In the New Covenant)Testament) which supersedes the Old Covenant(Testament) it explains that Christians are the chosen of God, and all the old Jewish laws, sacrificing, etc. are no longer relevant hence that covenant is done. The Jews are no more chosen than the Muslims, Hindus, etc. None of these groups believe that Jesus is the Messiah. These old evangelist can keep preaching this "Jewish chosen people" stuff all they want.

Yeah, I don't consider "Prosperity Gospel" preachers and churches "Christian"; they are heretic. But thanks for the lame attempt to "straighten out Christians."
