Mate, we don't have the cards.
What's hampering the US is global sentiment that the US is the aggressor/bad guy. If Iran does anything stupid to change that perception then the US could completely wreck Iran with impunity and most of the global community would not give two shits. I have been thinking for the past 3-4 weeks that's what Trump is hoping for, that Iran would do something militarily belligerent so the US could completely unload on their asses.

Any deal with Iran will fail, period!
Iran leadership places zero value on human life, and that is where the negotiation stops!
I really believe constant military pressure on Iran is the only way to correcting the current situation...and that approach is highly unpopular.

Yeah I know. I’m just calling him out but now he’s acting like he’s just doing his duty as the TD historian.

You're not making any sense.
You're trying to impose a red line onto me that isn't my red line. The question is why, and why you think this makes sense or is responsive to my OP.

I never once said in this thread or any other that nukes were your red line.
The purpose of this thread is so you can get everyone’s POV in one thread so you can use it to spew your bullshite after the details of the deal come out. That’s what I was referring to when I mentioned nuclear material and UN inspections.
You fricking know that clown.

It's actually to prevent spins by others from cope and dishonest content creators.

Solid list. I’m with you
Notice how the guy who started this thread and was SO interested in red lines doesn’t bother to acknowledge one of the few posters who gives him a list ?
This is because he really doesn’t give a rats arse he just wanted to add to his post total.

This thread isn't about that

What if that requires boots on the ground? Do you support that?

Your schtick is old clown

This thread is about the same thing as every other thread you start
It’s about you.
It’s about you.

100%
I wonder how many times he’ll bump this or screen shot a poster.
He’s such a douche bag of epic proportions.

It's unpopular because it would be very costly with no clear benefits to outweigh the costs.

You sure you don’t want to continue more bullshite about “your red line” that somehow I’m supposed to know?
Posted on 5/23/26 at 8:10 pm to Captain Rumbeard
I hope Trump stands firm to his red line. If not, this likely will be mocked by the deranged dems as his defining TACO moment.
Posted on 5/23/26 at 8:10 pm to dkreller
Can you imagine wasting your life away to the degree that guy does?

Can you read?

If we don't have severe restrictions on Iran trading with China and effectively a complete ban on any enriched uranium, I don't see how you can sell this as anything other than an expensive L, because with those in place you have to ask what the hell this war was about.
Reparations would make it terrible.
Basically if Iran doesn't face severe consequences we have given them power on par with nukes and a trump card (no pun intended) with the SOH. They've shown they can shut it down, tank the world economy, and we can't do shite about it, which is the same deterrence that nukes would provide.
