I don't drive enough and have managed my finances enough in life to never be at that point...
However, doesn't mean I'm happy about throwing an extra $25 a tank away when I could spend that money elsewhere... like hookers and blow
And the thing the Iran bootlickers and "suck it up, pay your penance to dear leader" don't understand is over 50% of the country doesn't have enough money to cover a 1k emergency expense. So another 1k a year in gas for them is a struggle... and those people vote.

I never look at gas prices. I fill up and go.

They (often) have: nicer, newer smart phones than I carry; they (often) drive nicer, newer and more expensive vehicles than I have; they often sport accoutrements (piercings, tattoos (lots of tattoos) and jewelry beyond my Seiko watch and readers; They ALWAYS have a dozen subscription services, that I don't have; They visit Dunkin, Starbucks, 7 Brew more in one week than my wife and daughter does in a month.

Average person cuts streaming services and eating out to make ends meet. Restaurants and streaming services cut budgets due to loss of customers. Those employees are now jobless collecting unemployment and cutting their spending to only necessities. Whatever they spend their money on suffers and on and on and on.

Not my problem. When you get $5 in gas at the pump with crinkled dollars and smell like cigarettes you should probably look in the mirror about your life choices to get there.

There is no level that gas prices could possibly hit that would cause me to change my habits. In any way.
There are levels that gas prices could not hit that would cause me to change my habits, but why would I deal in fake targets?

A logical person would understand it's consistent to comment the same in each instance of high prices.
Saying Trump is only slightly better than Biden isn't exactly a ringing endorsement, either.
