Agree with Gus’s and BBQ Shop (prefer both for lunch) and Rendezvous (for dinner).

Also like Huey’s for lunch.

Zoo is very nice.

We stayed there for a week two years ago…..our favorite meal was at Sansei right beside the resort. The miso butterfish was out of this world!
No puppy, but she did get some doggy.
Looks more like Gargamel than a smurf......
It’s not the same…..

There is a different energy in Vegas. I understand it’s not for everyone, but it’s one of my favorite things to do.
It does to me….we go a couple times a year, stay at a great resort, eat like kings and get some gambling in (I don’t gamble anywhere else)…… and I absolutely love being in the sportsbook on a college football Saturday

Went to spring training in Florida several years ago. Tebow got the biggest ovation by far……crowd went nuts when he got a hit.
Directv

They added the NFL direct Sunday ticket to my office account several years ago without me knowing it…..don’t remember the exact price but it was like $500. After explaining to them my office isn’t even open on Sundays they took it off my bill.

They did it again the following year and refused to remove the charge….I immediately told them to close that account and to close my home account (the conversation was a little more colorful than that).

Will never do business with those POS’s ever again.

re: Bern’s Steakhouse

We went to Tampa for the Outback Bowl several years back.......I tried and tried to get a reservation at Bern's but it was always booked.

The day we got there I tried again and they had a bunch of availability so I booked. When we got there I asked the ladies at the hostess stand why did they suddenly have openings?

They said it was because they only book 30 days out (or whatever the number was) and a lot of locals book just in case they want to eat there, and many cancel as their reservation gets close. Take that FWIW.

Steaks were great but the dessert room is what puts this place over the top..

One other crazy thing about Bern's.......they have Bowfin caviar on the menu
Same. It felt like someone was squeezing each nut with a death grip.

Mac 12

I’d stay away from the real peaty stuff unless you know the recipient likes it…..
All fast food/chain pizza places are terrible to me now compared to when I was growing up……..don’t know if the quality has gone down or my tastes have gone up. Pretty sure the answer is both.

re: First Gun Safe

When I built my house I made a spot for a 64 gun safe.......didn't take me long before I had to add another 64 gun safe....they just don't hold that many guns. Of course I have other stuff than just guns in there but when you have rifles with scopes it's hard to get more than 1/4 of what they are supposed to hold in there.

This was all before my boating accident of course.
Don't get your meat where you get your bread.
Dallas, specifically North Dallas
Really depends on what you are looking for.

For a pulled pork bbq sandwich......BBQ Shop by a mile

For ribs and ambiance.........Rendezvous

For all around great bbq.......Central or Commissary

Didn't mean that bad in any way toward Brooklyn.

I was just expecting someone to say "that's in Brooklyn, a long way from the upper east side."

And I just ordered my 13yo some Peter Luger sauce to put in his Christmas stocking. He loves it. :dude:
Because they are my hunting/fishing clothes…..

Don’t really want to get blood and guts on my Sunday best……or rip up good clothes going through briars, etc
