ETA: The AP is framing their diversity argument in a manner that diversity should trump talent on Olympic teams.

They can cry all they like. This isn't Netflix. Putting browns into white countries won't make them good at skiing. Whites could be 1% of the world population and we'd still dominate the Winter Olympics.

Trans athletes aren't restricted from participating in sports. They just have to play in the correct division.

So just because they’ve “migrated” to those countries, there’s automatically an assumption that they like winter sports and are being excluded?
Maybe I’m just missing something here but I don’t recall reading or hearing of the numerous natural settings of the Mid-East and Africa affording youngsters growing up in those places the variety of options to hone the skills for their love of downhill skiing, hockey and bobsledding.

It’s bigger than Asia. Diversity is only demanded in a handful of first world, western, predominantly Caucasian counties…… ironically by first world, western, predominantly Caucasian thinkers.
