Decent turnout in Madison. Wife and I voted down ballot Republican.

My mom early voted due to a cruise. She voted Doug Jones and whoever is running against Dale Strong. Supposedly Dale fricked her over in a court case. The rest of the ballot she voted republican. Says she just didn’t like Tuberville. I’m pissed that she just didn’t leave those blank or do a write-in.

Last time healthcare got expanded to offer "free" healthcare, my premiums from BC/BS Alabama skyrocketed 33% stopping me from contributing to a 401k..

So you're telling me Obamacare didn't happen in Alabama? I'm thinking you're keeping your scope too narrow. It happened nationwide.

Alabama did not expand Medicaid. There was no mass issuance of “free”
health care in the state as a result.

If anything, the fact that Medicaid didn’t expand meant that poor people had to use Emergency Rooms as their primary health care option, with hospitals passing the cost along to insurers.

You've missed the point. I'm not talking about medicaid expansion. I'm talking Obamacare that made my premiums go up. If Jones is elected and gets his medicaid expansion, who do you think is going to pay for it? There's no money in the state budget for that.

The amount of gnashing of teeth in here about Tubs is astounding.

If you dont want tubs to be the nominee thats what the fricking primaries are for. The general is the time to back the party. Voting dem because your guy didnt win the primary to get to the general is idiotic and is how dems win elections.

My choice for senate didnt win the primary but you dont see me in here going to vote dem. Morons.

Jones was the goober that controversially won Sessions’ old seat, correct?
Because the GOP primary was an absolute shitshow.

Yeah, the primary was a joke. The voters had no options. Tuberville had no opposition outside of some crackpot from Bessemer who runs for everything.

I am so sick and tired of supposed republicans saying he/she is a bad candidate.

You pricks want a good looking smooth talking wealthy family man then elect Newsom for president next cycle.

Tuberville will win this going away and he should. So STFU.

So if you say you are against voter fraud but vote for Tuberville, you're participating in voter fraud either way. In other words, you're being a raging hypocrite.

Seems odd that he would be ineligible to run and it not be taken to the courts. Why didn't Democrats challenge his eligibility.

Alabama supreme court did not rule because he is not a state of alabama employee. At this point they are relying on the Alabama GOPs assessment that he is eligable. From what I've read, it sounds like somebody could potentially challenge that at the ASC if/when he wins. No idea what the protocol is there though.

I don’t really care for Tuberville, but Doug Jones is a progressive Dem disguised as a moderate/centrist Dem. He would be a disaster. So, I voted for Tubs.

Boo hoo. He’s a shitty person. Hope he wins comfortably but just because we want higher standards for someone who leads the state doesn’t mean we want Gavin fricking Newsom.

I voted for the former Auburn Coach over the communist. It wasn't a hard decision. Roll Tide!

Update: Tuberville won by 4 points and underperformed every other statewide GOP candidate.

If Jones wasn’t a hardcore liberal who did dumb shite like bringing Stacy Abrams in to campaign, he would’ve won.

Tuberville is a moron and I’m guessing he will govern as a moron. After 10 years of MeeMaw, we needed better.
