re: Any other Alabama folks here see the Governor's race as a shrug?

It was. The party platformed him anyway.
You mean in court? You realize they did take it to court and it went to a lower court—who ruled that they didn't have jurisdiction over it—and then to the Alabama Supreme Court, who upheld the decision that they didn't have jurisdiction over it.
So as far as I know, no court supposedly has jurisdiction over it. What are you supposed to do in that case?
And anyway, is being able to get a court to admit voter fraud the new MAGA standard? Because for almost 7 years now they've been trying to prove voter fraud in the 2020 election in court and haven't been successful, and it's been the left that has used that argument.
So is that the new MAGA standard? You can't get a court to admit it, so it didn't happen?
EDIT: Not to mention, you still don't get it. Let's say he really was a resident of Alabama. That means he committed voter fraud in Florida.
You can't get around it either way.

The party puts up crap candidates because they know how easy their voter base is to woo.
And that's as much my motivation as anything.
As long as they know they have your vote no matter what they do, what's their incentive to perform?
MAGA endlessly whines about the Republican Party not doing what they want them to do when it their (our) fault the whole time. They'll do exactly what the electorate wants them to do as long as they know they'll lose their job if they don't.
MAGA idiots will vote for them no matter what and then can't figure out why they have no motivation to enact any given agenda. It never dawns on them that they are the problem and they could change it any time they chose.

I hope Coach Tubbs wins going away.
The fact that you're calling him "Coach Tubbs" as a gubernatorial candidate signifies that you're a moron.
The fact that he can't name the three branches of government reflects his own moronic intellignce.
And you can disagree with all of that, but if you vote for the guy you're either committing voter fraud yourself for voting for a guy who is ineligible, or you're voting for a guy who committed voter fraud in another state. That's a fact.
So I hope you're not going to decry voter fraud that any Democrats or illegals commit. Since you are just like them morally/ethically.

I get it. Maybe you didn't. I didn't comment on which court should or shouldn't have jurisdiction. I just said it could be proven...as you verified.

Well, I really can't see myself voting for Doug Jones.
This is just silly. Jones is far from a radical left-wing whacko Democrat. With the Alabama legislature having a Republican supermajority, there’s not much he could really do in that area anyway.
Worst things he may do are 1- Medicaid Expansion and 2- Letting Alabamians vote on lotto/legalized gambling.
Whether you generally favor ME or not, considering that 41 states have it and Alabama doesn’t is ultimately damaging to the state. If it goes away nationally, fine, but it’s stupid not to take if available.
As for lotto/gambling, the PCI has casinos now with slots that play “bingo”. It’s not that big a stretch to let them have blackjack and craps.
Aside from being a Florida resident, all Tubby can do is spout a few ridiculous claims (he’ll “cut tax” revenue but somehow increase spending “to put more police on the streets”) and claim that Jones is a “socialist”

Alabama Supreme Court has not heard case yet because he is not an employee of the state. There does seem to be some implications that they could restart the whole thing if/when he is elected.

Well I'm a very HAPPY law breaking citizen then.
I didn't vote FOR Tuberville, I voted AGAINST Doug Jones.

Simple as that.

Well to be honest. Tuberville might be on par with MeMaw intelligence wise. Maybe he can get our gas tax reduced. Might even get a lottery passed with him in office.
Dougie's idea of expanding medicaid sends chills through me. Last time healthcare got expanded to offer "free" healthcare, my premiums from BC/BS Alabama skyrocketed 33% stopping me from contributing to a 401k. I can't afford a democrat's programs. His affordability is going to cost me if he gets elected.
Tuberville might be as dumb as a box of rocks, but if he keeps his hands out of my wallet, I view that as a win.

I just took my 90-year old mom to vote with me. She said “I can just vote all Republican, right?” I said yes and after I showed her where to mark her ballot she said “I want to make sure I’m voting for Tuberville.”
Two straight red ballots.
We’re diehard Alabama fans, btw.

Voting for a "MAGA idiot" (whatever that means) is still better than voting for a fu**ing Democrat. I've had numerous conversations with Tuberville. He's no Josh Hawley, but he isn't dumb.
I voted for the Republican in District 2. Hoping to flip that back from the Democrat party.

Tuberville’s campaign has been incredible really. He got out there and spoke about the issues Alabamians care about. He made a lot of diehard Bama fans think beyond football and ask themselves if their state is worth saving from the Muslim DEI libs.
I’d look for him to maybe try to run as a VP within the coming years. He’s got what it takes for sure.

So you're telling me Obamacare didn't happen in Alabama? I'm thinking you're keeping your scope too narrow. It happened nationwide.
