re: Transducer mounting arm broke- JB Weld? - NASA_ISS_Tiger
Could you splint it somehow permanently on each side and still epoxy the plastic? I don't know what it's made from or if there's a way to get bolts in it...but a flat bar on each side with bolts running thru it as well as epoxy might work....

re: Got a ticket this morning. - NASA_ISS_Tiger
Thanks for reminding me. I wear mine most of the time, but on very few occasions I have removed it to do something and forgot to put it back on. Since I'm traveling this weekend...I'll remember so I don't contribute to the Local Troops overtime fund....

re: Ever hit or been bit by a deer? - NASA_ISS_Tiger
I would say this though: It's better to hit the deer/animal than lose control of your vehicle trying to avoid hitting the animal. The neighbor's kid, who I tutor in math, learned this the hard way....coming down off of of the mountains around here she swerved to avoid hitting one...and flipped t...

re: Ever hit or been bit by a deer? - NASA_ISS_Tiger
I've personally never had it happen but my wife has 2 kills that way. The first was a good sized doe running parallel to her in the ditch and the stupid deer decides to leap out in front of our 4Runner. Wife-1 Deer-0. Another time wife sees the deer on the side of the road crossing...Doe with 2 y...

re: How many of you have Masonite siding on your homes? - NASA_ISS_Tiger
Mom and Dad had that on their house. shite sucked if it got wet and it wasn't prepared/painted right. It would swell up. Eventually Dad vinyl sided the whole house. Now Driftwood LNG can have the whole son of a bitch since they wanted it...they can have it...Hell I wish it had asbestos in the...

re: Most iconic photo of the Vietnam War? - NASA_ISS_Tiger
Not many people know that ANZAC and ROK forces also sent troops to Vietnam. The ROK forces were known to be very brutal and feared by the NVA
Dad served alongside the RoK Marines at Da Nang. I have a RoK Marine blouse. He said they HATED the Vietnamese...no matter what brand of Vi...

re: How many of you baws been to Birmingham? - NASA_ISS_Tiger
There are parts of Birmingham that are indeed nice, but I'll pass on the inner city itself. Some of the outlying suburbs are great and seem like a place a person could live and raise a family. I'll stick to Huntsville. ...

re: Spanking a kid--where do you stand? - NASA_ISS_Tiger
I look at this way...the belt worked on me. So it can work on my child too. Never beat a child though. There's a fine line...are you whipping for discipline or are you beating for getting rid of your anger....if it's the latter...stop what you are doing, that's child abuse. I can say I got m...

re: I have my dog on a topical flea medicine but she is still scratching. - NASA_ISS_Tiger
Change her food. Try to get her off grains first. However you may have to change the protein as well. We had one that was allergic to...of all things..Lamb. Once we got her on a duck and potato diet she stopped scratching and her coat starting really filling out....

re: Any Watch experts here? Dumb question about an old Citizen watch - NASA_ISS_Tiger
Thanks for everyone's help. I figured it'd be easy to swap out the band to one I prefer. I'm going to ship it off to a repair shop in Atlanta that is an authorized Citizen repair place. I'd rather have it done right, with a warranty, than some shady guy in the mall working on it.
...

re: In need of new vacuum - NASA_ISS_Tiger
We have a Dyson and as long as you're good at taking it apart and cleaning all the areas out from time to time it's been pretty solid. Now how often is "time to time"...well every single time I take it out...so it can be a hassle. It does the job until it doesn't. The hose design on the Animal fro...
