Anecdotal story about how Bud Light might have some reputation issues for a little while

A vendor took some myself and some guys from our my work out for lunch recently, as well as a few of their other customers. Probably about 12 or so guys total. It was a nice day, so we were all on a patio and ordering beer, and not one person ordered BL or AB, l no one was talking politics or anything about Bud Light, I just noticed no one ordered it. One guy did end up ordering a Bud Light, most likely just out of habit, and immediately everyone looked at him funny and someone asked him why he was ordering "tranny piss". The guy got embarrassed and changed his order to Miller and everyone laughed including the waitress.
I don't drink much or go to bars anymore. But have heard similar stories at bars, where guys are laughing about BL and shaming anyone for ordering it. This probably isn't the reputation or image BL would like, considering their old ad campaigns of being a "guys" beer, especially in social situations, at games, sports bars, bowling and golf leagues, etc.

Happened at camp this week, opening of Turkey season in Arkansas. Someone was drinking Bud light, and a couple other guys were asking him why he was drinking “ Tranny Beer”.., He defended himself by saying it was old beer he was just getting rid of, that he wouldn’t be buying any more…This boycott may have some real legs

Had my poker night with the guys this week. Normally most people bring some draft beer and some Bud Light. This week - zero Bud Light. There was some Yeungling Light which no has ever brought before.
No one said a word about it. Bud Light just got taken on a one way walk into the woods with no discussion.

My wife and I were in the Dallas/Fort Worth area on vacation this week. I was looking around at various people to see what everyone was drinking, but was not able to find anyone drinking Bud Light or any other clearly identifiable AB product.

This week both at a dinner meeting and in a hotel bar, several joking comments were made about “order BL” (e.g., the wine selection was bad, someone was ordering for another person in their absence) and everyone laughed and essentially said yeah, right. The banquet staff told the dinner organizer that, though available, no BL was served. Anecdotal, yes. Interesting though.

Yep. Take the joke laugh enjoy the beer that you wanted. Instead I’d further humiliate him for changing it to pressure.

What grown man orders bud light at a bar or restaurant anyways. I get just buying some cans for around the house or on the lake or something but not out at a bar

Bud Light is solely the beer rep of the fat redneck(both male and female)! It's been forever (after Budweiser took over the crown from Pabst (over 3 decades ago). The Bud drinkers got older,40-50 lbs. fatter, and voila!...Bud Light takes the spotlight!

If he's legally drinking beer, then he's a grown man. And if he's a grown man who changed his beer order because of peer pressure, then he's a straight up flappity frickin' vagina.

A couple weeks ago I was out of town on a business trip at nice golf resort in the midwest. People from all over the country were here for this meeting and I cannot recall a single person drinking Bud Light at the hotel bar or at the casino.
Friends of mine who had been bud light drinkers and don't really follow politics are giving it up. It collects dust in the stores in favor of other beer. One friend of mine was asking me for suggestions as an alternative.

Went to a wedding last weekend where they had Bud Light and Miller Lite. BL was stacked up to the ceiling and never budged.
