#1—I have the data from right here in the US. During colonial times all trials were concluded within 1-2 weeks and sentences were carried out immediately. All felonies were punished by death, and the sentence was carried out publicly. And the murder rate was six times what it is in the US right now.
#2—All the research I am aware of agrees that capital punishment is not a deterrent, but a high likelihood of being caught is a deterrent. Which brings me to...
#3—The countries you named have much poorer legal systems with regard to due process. Which means, guilty or not, if you end up being suspected of something, you're likely to be convicted of it. Singapore has a huge and visible police presence and an absolute ban on citizens owning guns.
And it's debatable as to whether it even works. Iran's crime rate—including their violent crime rate—is nothing to brag about. Saudi Arabia and Singapore have very low violent crime rates, but very high rates of online crime (which carry severe penalties just like physical crimes).
In the context of all the other evidence on capital punishment, clearly factors such as liberal and highly visible police presence and high likelihood of being caught and/or convicted, not the executions, are the factors that serve as the deterrent.
Unless you want to similarly accept that banning all citizens from owning guns fixes violent crime.
