Terrible. Time to ban travel there unfortunately. Charitable efforts are suicidal now.

RIP beautiful souls.

I do not understand exactly why people do things like this. Is there not people here in the US that need the same sort of services these people are providing? Or is it like some sort of vacation to them?

Not sure I'd be in Haiti. That place seems sketchy as hell.

RIP to the two innocent souls killed.

I just can't comprehend how easy it is for some people to murder other people, especially innocent women and children. I just can't wrap my head around that.

I'm not that religious, but I do hope there is a special place in Hell for these frickers.

May Jesus welcome them with warmth and love and may God have mercy on them and on the whole world.

We should all pray for a good death but not fear it. Death is nothing more than the body giving birth to the soul.

Time to pull everything out and check back in on them in 20 years and see how it's going.

Missionaries go everywhere between trying to spread the word and trying to bring necessities of life to people who have nothing

While a noble calling, I’m of the same opinion as John Rambo in that being heavily armed would bring more positive change than humanitarian aid.

They thought Jesus would protect them.

Why are people so stupid?

Probably attention. They can go to social media and post pictures saying "look we are helping". All for attention.

They were doing what Jesus called Christians to do. Love can change evil. Indifference can’t change a thing.

My cousin and her husband are missionaries. They were in China up to the Covid pandemic. They were forced to come home and weren't allowed to go back I think. Very sweet couple and they have two precious kids.

They are eternally protected now by Jesus.

Only one life to live; 't will soon be past. Only what's done in Jesus will last.

I get it. I fully understand the concept of “time and place“.

But there are people suffering needlessly from events that they put themselves into in the first place.

You can’t go swimming with sharks or crocodiles and then complain that your hand got bit off. Or worse.

Can’t imagine the hole that’s left in the family’s heart.

Right, so have they already been "everywhere" here in the US? There sure are a lot of down votes in here. Maybe instead someone can explain what's going on better. In still not understanding why one would need to travel so far to help people.

People are wired differently. Some folks choose to work in their own communities, some decide to work in other parts of the country instead of their home state and some choose to go international. Not everyone has the same make-up but all three are noble callings.

Probably not. All the apostles except john got slaughtered brutally. They knew it may end badly and went anyway. That's courageous.

That’s the thing….they still are, just not in this world. Lotta hate in this thread. I’m sure they understood the dangers of being there, but they went anyway.
