I would believe medical professionals more if they would call out their colleagues who are artificially creating panic through lying to the public.

Like the bitch in charge of OLOL who insists the problem is Covid and not OLOL’s ability to keep enough nurses on staff.
Nah, you still DV us right along with Covidian MDs

How many are obese, elderly, or have other health issues?

Probably most of them...but most of the state is obese, including most of the idiot posters here.

State Health Officer Thomas Dobbs said at a Wednesday news conference that 97 percent of the people currently hospitalized are not vaccinated.
What he did not say was that 80% of those are in the hospital for something other than Covid.

97% is the talking point. Every hospital has 97% unvaccinated.

dot forget - it was said that all hospitalizations were labeled "unvaccinated" regardless of the actual truth

Good. They will develop natural antibodies to the virus which will be a lot better than the Pfizer vaccine that is only 42% effective against the Delta strain.

97% are unvaccinated but . . .
.04% are testing positive for covid. The other 99.96% are in the hospital for other reasons.

See how misleading these headlines are designed to be? It caused you to believe that 97% are in MS hospitals because they are being treated for covid. When reading stats, ask what they actually can mean vs. what the author is trying to make you assume. Remember, the CDC added 1 week of covid stats together and reported them as a single day to make everyone believe there is a gigantic covid spike in Florida.

This is ridiculous when they could all be in Tractor Supply stores getting Ivermectin!

They wouldn't even need that if they were just somewhat conscious of their health, especially their weight and cholesterol. Everybody that I've heard of having serious issues with covid were fat and couldn't walk up 3 flights of stairs without becoming exhausted before they had covid.

And what else do those 97% have in common?

If it’s not being reported, why do you think that is?

I live in Mississippi and I can tell you with a high degree of certainity that this is not true as I personally know several people who had the jab and got severe cases of covid and in talking with other friends in the Jackson/Rdigeland/Madison area they repeat the same thing. Now, are we low on the vaccination rate? Yes. But it is being suspected that anything and everything is being made to make us look bad (like Florida) since our governor is patterning himself after Desantis.

Funny you mention this because "97%" is the exact same number the administration is using for the entire nation. Psaki was recently called out by a reporter for using this number because it tracks back to Jan 1. Extremely dishonest.

Yep! They are all repeating 97%

The rise of the midlevel provider isn't going to help the shortage either.
