Artillery Crews (not) FDC,

Just curious why not FDC? You're located adjacent to gun line and it's impossible to do your job while wearing earplugs.

And by the way tinnitus is automatic for Artillery MOS's.

I don't think that's the issue most people have. They're complaining about people getting disability pay for bullshite reasons, which you know happens if you served. I don't have a problem calling out scammers, whether it's oil spill money, insurance, disability, whatever.

Well in the most recent conflicts FDC wasn’t adjacent to the gun line. They were in a building somewhere and communicated by radio. I was a 13F and had to fight for mine

No, it's a symptom of the biggest problem. Government writing people checks and paying for their healthcare at the expense of its productive class is going to be the death of this country.

And if we are really going to be honest here, the vast majority of those entering the military did so because they were broke with not much brain power nor skills.

So it's really not all that surprising that they feel the need to scam when they get out.

Downvote away, but you know it's the truth.

If I recall correctly, there hasn’t been a draft since Vietnam.

You chose to serve.

I don’t think I said it had anything to do with his age. All I said was he was that HE said, “I’m planning to retire when I turn 50 when I get my disability“

His words, not mine.

That’s all I know about military disability. It sure got me to thinking, though, and now that I find out that it is very common for very able-bodied people to get taxpayer money claiming disability when there is no apparent disability that is keeping them from doing anything, I began to see that there is yet another way to scam the taxpayer.

YAY!

I wonder what the crossover is with olds fleecing the military for disability while yelling at kids today in the $6 coffee thread?

Really? I know guys and gals who worked admin office jobs and are now working full time while getting almost 100% disability checks from their time in the service.

The time to say "this shite has become a racket" has long past.

My wife works in physical therapy and she said there are so many there to document solely to get disability.

A lot of them claim EDS because they know you can get disability from it and how are you going to prove them wrong?

if you want to get an idea how bad VA benefit fraud (disability) is, watch some episodes of Financial Audit by Caleb Hammer. It is sad how pathetic some of the veterans are. He has had multiple cooks getting 100% disability.

Yea if you were unwilling to serve you should probably just stfu about VA benefits

It's this sort of thinking that has allowed the fraud to creep in

FYI, the fraudsters are ruining it and are taking away from the legit claims. You should want to tackle it instead of acting like it's untouchable just because someone served

Forty percent receiving benefits is evidence that forty percent receive benefits. It is not evidence of fraud bubba.

“Peacetime” does not mean uninjured, and “easy to fake” is not data. Your screenshots measure compensation, not abuse. Find a fraud rate, an audit, or actual evidence.

They also always bring out all the jealous bitches. If the military pay and benefits sound so great, go sign up yourself. Otherwise quit pocket watching the people who did.

When I first got out and was taking college classes, occasionally people would say something like you're lucky your college is free and its like no, "luck" had nothing to do with it. Its not like I just randomly got my college paid for while you have to go into debt for it. You're free to take the same path I did.

Same with people complaining about veterans getting disability pay. Go sign up and spend months/years in the middle east away from your family surrounded by explosions and gunfire, and find out how much the money actually makes up for what you went through when you get out.

what's funny is that you think every vet agrees with you and so by default, someone that states that a huge percentage of vets are scamming the system, there's no WAY that person could also possibly also be a vet or in the military. newsflash, there are a lot of people in uniform who can see what is going on here with the scamming.

you might very well be entirely honest about your disability. i dont know anything about you specifically. only you know the truth deep down. strange that you're so defensive.

Case in point. You’re among some of the biggest pussies to ever exist in America and yet you speak as if you’re entitled to define the terms of military service.

While the men were all deployed, you effeminate bundles of sticks did nothing to preserve the nation we left. In fact, you actively participated in its ongoing destruction. Your only contributions never extend beyond crying on the internet because it’s all just so unfair

Pipe down, pussy. The men are discussing our benefits.

same for you big guy. maybe you're being entirely honest. i dont know anything about you. the insane level of defensiveness sure is strange though.

I’m about to be one of the 40% and if you want to take the constant tinnitus off my hands, I’ll gladly give you the $150 a month I’ll be getting.

I’d love pure silence for even 5 minutes instead of the constant screeching.

Do I think there is abuse of VA benefits. Sure. And it needs to be looked into.

But not before illegal and welfare recipients. Deal with those first, as well as fraudulent daycare businesses in democratic strongholds.
