That makes sense. The Dems will win, so he might actually have a chance at a Cabinet position.

It’ll almost have to be someone who’s off the grid now. Someone honorable and mature with foresight. The problem is it’s hard to win the primary without some extremism. Dems may face the same problem in primaries

The only 2 options I see are Vance and DeSantis
Vance absolutely cannot be the nominee.

He has no chance in a national election in 2028.

Has anyone checked on STDTiger lately?

We're on page 2 of a thread talking about Ron DeSantis and he hasn't chimed in yet.... something's not right. Hopefully it's nothing more than a mental health professional stepped in and took away his internet privileges

Rubio seems the most likely to win a POTUS race. Demonstrated ability to juggle lots of jobs. Well spoken. Experienced. Smart. Will get Hispanic vote and white vote.

Vance is seen as Trump 3.0. Deservedly or not. Also IDK who Vance really is. On JRE a while ago he was talking like a lib…..

DeSantis has done a great job as gov. But no natinional or international experience. Not as good at speaking as Rubio…..

Well, we have a pretty good idea of the type of politician you want, and where has that gotten us?

If we want to break the trend with Democrats winning and growing their numbers, we need to think differently because the independent voters are not responding to our message or our candidates

You can call me a rhino, a Bush Republican, a progressive, a liberal- whatever; they're just names, you know what?

We, Republicans at this point, are losers. We lost

And you think doing more of the same thing, or a different version of the same thing, is going to come up with a different outcome?

Both DeSantis and Vance kiss the wall. Not a fan of that.

The only move Vance has is to stay with Trump. He’s simply not going to be able to play himself as separate from Trump

That’s what Harris tried to do with Biden and it didn’t work.

She stated multiple times she wouldn't have changed anything they did in 4 years. How did she try and distance herself on an actual policy level?

JD has been against Iran since the beginning and has been hesitant on other things pretty publicly.

Nothing against him or even his politics as they relate to me personally - but hell no on Vance. The MAGA associates and playbook need to be tossed out completely like a fired coaching staff. Someone outside the current administration is needed. Someone who can distance himself from Trump, who I hope will keep quiet. The only possible exception is Rubio, and that’s only because he’s not white.

The GOP has to get some white women back on the right side. Those bitches hate Trump, man. I have a Facebook dating profile, and it seems like every profile I see says that you can burn in hell if you’re MAGA. Trump 3.0 ain’t winning.

Identify politics are key and there cannot be any vulnerability on the race/gender front. Not a sniff of anything (true or not) that can be used to make people say the GOP wants black people back on the plantation and Latinos rounded up by ICE.

IMO, the ICE shite needs to be minimized (even though I am personally fine rounding their asses up however) and the government needs to primarily go after how they get money. Employers who hire illegals need to be hit with a sledgehammer, and it needs to be impossible to get any government money. Encourage them to leave on their own, and discourage more from coming.

Trump has to win again. This election proved that his special connection to the love of the American people is what is popular, not his policies or his ideology. If you support the latter, you have to support the former or else it is impossible

DeSantis is extremely competent, not a showman. But he is an effective debater.
