I just left Subway for breakfast on Corporate Blvd in BR and saw a Firehouse Subs was being built. The sign is up which means it will be open very soon.

How are their subs?

You guys don't have a Firehouse? Yes, it's better than Subway.

Better than almost all the other sub places. Hook and ladder for the win...

Dominates Subway. But more expensive.

Love Firehouse. Great subs for the price, IMO. Never leave unsatisfied.

No. This will be the first. I don't see the Subway a couple doors down lasting very long if its that good.

I have not as there are none near here, but my friend owns one and will be building two more. He eventually wants to open up this way if he can get the rights and get me involved.

He told me they are working in some gluten free breads so I may get to try it eventually

As already said, nothing special, but better than subway, Quiznos, etc.

I don't know how subway can stay in business, but you will go to some of the smallest towns in LA and there is a freaking subway there. I guess it is from lack of choices? When was the last time you saw a subway that went out of business?
