DARPA

Was there any confirmation that HG responded to this?

The amount of grip force I use on the stack of shares I've held since September is certainly decreasing.
I understand the frustration and also wish it was going a little smoother, but I look at it this way - in September, I bought a lottery ticket stock with big upside and a very real chance it was worthless.

Fast forward 8 months. The stock is worth 3-4x what it was back then, and real progress has been made (not as much or quickly as we'd hoped, but it's still there). The odds of the lottery ticket paying off are higher than they were 8 months ago. The odds of this stock being worthless are much lower than they were 8 months ago.

This is more of an emotional response.

Taking a loss isn't a bad thing. You can report the loss on your taxes, and it frees up money for a stock you like better.

If you wait for MRLN to go ip 25% but OUST goes up 30%, you'll end up with fewer shares in the end.
Yep, I made some money on it but I held a bag on AUPH for years and learned this lesson the hard way.

Bag holders unite!

Just wish this thing could pump back up to $12 so I can GTFO and pour it into OUST.
This has always been me in the past, but I decided to just cut my losses on this one. I sold everything in the 7s earlier today from a cost basis of $10.

I usually am one to hold forever until it goes back up, but too often I am missing some huge gains on what I could've done with the money in the meantime. I cashed out and put it all in OUST and DRAM. The odds of those doubling seem much higher and faster than MRLN does right now.

Am I making sense? I want to make the most of this insane bull run and I don’t think MRLN currently gives me the best chance.
 Yes, thanks.

I’m about equal weight in both, but I’ve already cashed in once at $16 on MRLN and then bought back at $10. I’m thinking of just selling it and taking an L for more OUST and others. I see what you mean - holding a bag in this environment is even worse since it could be put into one of these others that are ready to run.

Hopefully earnings is positive and I can get out without a huge kick in the nuts.
BB, you seemed to have a ton more conviction here just 6 weeks ago than you do now

Has anything changed on your analysis - or are you just seeing better opportunities elsewhere, such as OUST?

I’m in both thanks to you

The hype leading up to the game is the same as boxing and UFC - it's just there to generate eyeballs.

Good question and I have no idea, but here is what Chat thinks:

1. Canada’s corporate emigration / departure tax

When a corporation ceases to be a Canadian tax resident, Canada generally treats the company as if it sold many of its assets at fair market value immediately before leaving.

That means the company may owe tax on unrealized gains — appreciation that exists even if nothing was actually sold.

The tax is generally imposed on:
appreciated intellectual property
patents
trademarks
goodwill
equipment
investments
shares/subsidiaries
crypto or securities holdings
other capital assets

The taxable amount is generally:

Fair market value - tax basis/book basis

So if:

the company owns IP worth $200 million
but its tax basis is only $10 million

Canada may treat the company as having a $190 million gain upon emigration.

You may very well be right about this as an acquisition play, but HG is at least suggesting it will move forward on production, for what that's worth:
quote:

The Issuer has announced it is in the process of securing a final agreement for a new production facility to support rapid scale-up of manufacturing capacity and other strategic relationship to further its graphene application opportunities in large addressable markets. This site is located in Texas and adjacent to an acetylene pipeline access point.
quote:

The Issuer has opened phase 1 of the Austin headquarters and is preparing to commence buildout of phase 2 for additional development and production resources on site at that facility. The Issuer is beginning the process to move equipment and materials from our Manhattan facility in order to consolidate operations into the Austin headquarters. The Issuer plans on closing the Manhattan facility once the Austin headquarters is complete.

Likely the uplist clock has restarted. Probably an error on old CFOs part which is cause for termination
That would make sense considering how short his tenure was, and it didn't seem to be super amicable when reading between the lines.

If the uplist has been delayed and the clock restarted, then that is unfortunate for sure. But the glass half-full side of me likes that they acted quickly and decisively (or so it would seem) in making a change.

I'm a gambler so I bought a few hundred more shares this morning.

Just read the main Reddit thread. Those guys have a knack for selling at the very top dollar every time there's a peak.

But they don't tell you about it until after it's hit the valley though :wah:

While the daydream of sitting on a yacht has been fun, it would be hard to get upset with that.

Now I wouldn't be real psyched about a buyout at $15...

More recently, she said Q3 with a target of July.
In 2026 dollars, sure. But if you live just off the interest of $50-60k/year and don't grow the principal, doesn't that mean you'll also have to live off $50-60k in 2036, 2046, etc.?

I don't really see how that's possible.

They fought for the shitty-arse system we have now so cry me a river.
