It's a toss-up between the bayous on a falling tide for trout and flats for redfish or simply sitting at the Mississippi River's edge fishing for big cats using live perch on large circle hooks for bait.

Bass fishing lake bouef 25+ years ago. In mudboat no electronics, no bassboats flying around with a rogue in early spring.

Grand Isle. Trout near the island/in the surf in the spring/summer. Roadside fishing when it cools off, or dunk my kayak off the side of the highway. We're just getting into offshore fishing, so easy access for that.

There is something about sitting on a river with a tight line....not even fishing for big ones but small little channels. I love it and by far my favorite thing to do, a really close second in watching the cork go down on a big ol bream bed.

My favorite fishing is the kind where you have more time fishing than doing all the prep, driving, fixing shite, driving back, and cleanup. I guess that's fishing off a pier from the lake house I'm staying at on vacation.
