Man that's unbelievable. He came by the tailgate years ago and brought me some free baits and whatnot. Very nice fellow. God bless.

Sorry to hear, I can remember someone posting about their kid wanting to get into fishing and asking for pointers and he sent the kid a big package of lures and supplies, sounded like a great guy

Godspeed....

You are likely thinking of Staph (MRSA) which can cause necrotizing fasciitis. However the waterborne causes are usually from Vibrio of a couple species. These tend to be far more aggressive than the staph type. I’ve had to cut a lot of skin off (debridement) a few people. Vibrio is way worse and NOT a normal skin flora organism like Staph.

RIP Boo and Godspeed. Prayers for his loved ones. Tough way to go out.

Posted some pictures on here of my daughter smacking some chinquapin one time. Dude was quick to throw out his email, offering all kinds of stuff for her. Never took him up on it either. Seemed like a great guy all around.
RIP

Damn. Rest in piece.

I posted something on here about my son and I fishing a few years ago and they sent me a swag bag from their radio show in Florida with an assortment of baits and a nice rod holder for my son's wall in his bedroom.

Nice guys over there.

Did the same one time with my son catching some bass on topwater. He got our address and sent my son a bunch of fishing baits. Great guy. Sorry to hear of his passing.

I’ve been following this story hoping for a positive outcome.

Rip and best wishes to the family. Maybe we can do a go fund?

Sad day. He was a quality individual that helped a lot of people when it came to fishing. Not sure if that was my daughter referenced above, but he did send my daughter a fishing package in the mail with some lures and a hat. She caught her first little sunfish on one of the lures. RIP.

This is sad. I never met him but when I posted on here that me and the wife were having twins 5 years ago, he sent me a couple boxes of free salt and freshwater baits. He seemed like a genuinely nice person.

This is terrible news, I don’t mind and I am sure he didn’t either dying doing what you love, ( For me fishing ) but not like this shite. Maybe heart attack after catching a grander or big fish or something but this is bullshite.

Many prayers sent to his family. Someone needs to set up a memorial fishing tournament or something for his family.
