I think we should all get 20% off our next firearm purchase from Jim's

It would probably still be more expensive than everyone else

Come on, I hate Jims as much or worse than anybody on here, but do you really think she should post her cell # on here
probably not, but posting the phone number to the store isnt exactly helping the OP now is it?

This would go along way in repair my view of Jim's.
(i live in Shreveport and have never even heard of Jim's)

Agreed. But at least she has the balls to come here and post even after they completely screwed it up.
I have used Eduardo in the past and I think he does good work. But I dont think I have ever gotten anything back from him on time. I have been steaming mad after dealing with the fricks at Heberts and their terrible handling of something similar. I worked for Reynerson and had people come in Bowies asking about their stuff all the time.
Basically, I dont know of anyone in that industry can stick to a schedule. Sure, the other shop said they could have turned his gun around in a week, but it's possible they would have led him on too.

I must really be missing something here, but how would that be any better than her name and the biz phone #, I would even go as far to say that giving her name is more personal than an email addy

I had the following happen with a contractor:
Me: "I need this work done within 2 months, a customer needs it no later than that date."
Cont: "I should have it done in a week or 2."
2 weeks later:
Me: "2 weeks is it ready?"
Cont: "No Give me another 2 weeks"
Rinse, repeat.
Me: You gonna have this done on time?
Cont: (Actual quote) "I could lie to you and tell you I'll have it in 2 weeks, but I won't."
I hung up and call the customer and he says he'll wait 2 more weeks. I call the Cont. and he says hell have it and will call. He never calls , the customer walks.
I don't call the Cont. 3 weeks later:
Cont: I got that ready for ya.
Me: Too late, the dude walked.
Cont. Well who's gonna pay me?
Me: Not my problem here's the guys number.
Cont calls me back : " Guy told me he would pay me if he ever needed that work again."
Me: "well, if you want to get paid, hang on to it."

That the person in this thread who represents them has no ability to make it right or offer something to help resolve it is telling.
Why aren't you speaking with management and/or ownership to explain how this local business is being TRASHED by a community of outdoorsmen and other interested folks and getting their name drug through the mud?
Had a similar situation happen on the OT with a local business that I put on blast. Someone mentioned it to them and they went online, read my post and realized it was me.
Called me, told me the work would be free, apologized for the wait, gave me my money back, a bottle of wine and a gift certificate to a local steakhouse.
I went on TD and deleted every single post's content and followed up that the company had totally redeemed themselves to the best of their ability.
Business owners who are tone deaf to their image and how powerful local sites like this can be are destined to fail, regardless of their location.

Not that anyone cares, and as sort of a hijack, most of the African heads in there are from my father and I's safari in 1993.

I would be extremely pissed. Note to self: don't go to Jims and never trust a woman's word.
