Props to her for putting in the effort that her superiors wouldn't. Seems like the concept of customer service is over the other employees' heads at Jim's. She seems like a solid employee.

Man I couldn't agree more. Every one of you pussies personally attacking a young lady from behind your keyboard should be ashamed. I have no personal opinion of Jim's Firemarms but from some of the comments on here I can see how immature this board actually is.
It's also sad actually when you people support businesses where you have friends but don't otherwise. Then go on personal attacks of employees. Buncha pussies.

Why is it that she's the only one trying? The OP should have been called by the manager who should have been as apologetic as possible - offering him the world to make it right. The fact that random employee is still taking the lead on this situation says everything I'd need to know about this business. They don't care about you as the customer.
This business deserves to go down if this is how it operates.

Also, everyone is jumping to conclusions based on the OP's statements. There are two sides to every story. And based on the way people respond in this and other boards If I was ole Jim I wouldnt stoop to the level of most posters. There just might be legions of loyal Jim's fans out there.

I didn't read everything, but how did he company not at least call to ask if they'd like to pay to have the part overnighted so it was done on time? Gun shops of all places know guys take guns on out of town trips and need them ready before they leave. If a business can't understand to look at a repair in time to order parts, that business is horrible and doesn't deserve business.
2ndly, most gunsmiths can diagnose a problem within 30 minutes. Usually within 5-10 mins. Actually fixing it may take awhile, but it's sad they didn't even diagnose the problem for a week. I'd of demanded an estimate within 7 days or taken it elsewhere.
