I tried the swimbaits offshore with the live scope, but I simply am not good enough to fish like the pros.

I wanted to play with a new setup I’m trying on my rig. I usually fish the back of the boat and my usual partner back boats the hell out of me. I installed a trolling motor on the back of the boat so the co-angler could have a little control of keeping the back of the boat parallel with the bank. I put a second scope and screen back there for him. Probably a waste since the scope doesn’t do much when you are beating the bank, but I think it was cool and I’ve never seen it done before. As far as having some control with the motor, it was great. Put them both on spot lock and even in a big crosswind, the boat, front and back, was dead still and didn’t weather vane at all.

Bank fishing ended up working out well for us.

Is that when the back guy thinks all the fish in the lake are in front of the boat?

I was unaware that MLF has banned fishing docks during their tournaments. This seems like a crazy rule to implement anyone know why they implemented the rule?

Good Friday report was slow but decent, 7 nice bass early by 10am that was over all males 14-16"... and we searched for some white perch. Hit and miss 3 here then 4 over there then 2 then 7 on this point and 3 on the next. Grinded but we 23 by about dark. 31 fish total bonus was a small 2lb OP on a road runner. Sunburnt but a good day.

That's a well baited hook that I'm surprised hasn't received any attention over here. MLF is becoming a shite show and spiraling downward unless they get some new leadership and implement significant changes in my opinion.

I’m guessing the locals complain too damn much. Listened to one guy cuss a fisherman up and down a few weeks ago for fishing his dock.

FBD stand for frick Boyd Duckett. That is why they banned Watson for a year. Kinda like Let's go Brandon is where the Fishing Boat Docks came from.

This has to do with the first 2 days of the first BPT not being televised.

don't see anything wrong with fishing the water around/under the dock as long as you don't hit the dock...

Had a club tournament and the top 4 were flipping bushes. Two 18# bags.
Water is very high but word was they had 11 gates open. Hope it doesn’t get too low.

Mercury Advisory for Toledo Bend

What would cause this to happen? More stringent guidelines? Stirred up bottom sediment? Drought conditions from last year?
