Where in Indian creek do you find the deep grass? I have fished along the north side and structure near the osprey nest trees but never further “up the creek” toward the bridge

I think I may have made a confusing post. I was talking about Indian Creek in Rapides Parish. I should have clarified since this is a TB thread.

Gotcha, thought I was missing out on something in my back yard. With the low water all summer/ fall I’m expecting more grass on the south end this year. Buck creek was pretty thick this fall.

Our place is on the LA side by cypress bend. The farthest south I've made it is Caney. I think I'm gonna go all the way to the bottom this year just to say I did it.

If it ever returns to that straight bank right by the dam, watch out.

You can request a specific guide if you have one that you’d like to fish with. If they are open the day you want to go we will put them with you. Typically what we do when we get an email request or message looking for a trip we will let you know which guides are open that day and let you choose who you’d like to fish with. Unfortunately if you are all the way down in Indian Creek our crappie guides don’t go that far south. We have 2 guides that will fish in Housen certain times of year but that’s as far south as they go. If you have clients that are willing to drive to cypress bend to meet us we’d love to take them! Our bass guides (which is what I do) fish all over the lake.

Looks like it skips the first 2 days of competition. They starting off quick, an 8+ has already been caught.

Yep, MLF looks to be in cost cutting mode. Only airing the final 4 days of tournament vs all 6 like they have done in past. Also their no entry fee thing didn't work out and is now more expensive on a per tournament basis than the BASS Elite series.

Wheeler. He was in 1st but got passed by Gill who has 22.9 lbs with a big fish of 4.02.

Wheeler got the lead back.

Crochet just landed an 11lbr which put him in 3rd. Going to be a good tournament.

Yeah, I saw the video a few weeks back. I wasn't expecting that much less the title sponsor but good for them. Cliff is a good dude.

FYI. There have been updates to the lake on the Navionics cards giving a bit more detail. I just realized my subscription was out of date. Good time to update if you have a card.

Yeah, Wheeler back up to over 74lbs at 2:15, that’s a heck of a day. We’re gonna probably see multiple 10 lb and over fish this week.

Fished Bussey and Caney in the last couple of years. Would love to go to the bend but it's a massive lake. Pretty much would be foolish not to hire a guide for our first trip over I'm thinking.

Looks like they caught’em a multitude of ways today, but seemed soft body swim baits on light tackle was the ticket by looking at the fish tracker and the guys who did well. Funny some were focused in 0-5’ range and others were 20’+…go figure. Got to believe forward facing sonar played big for the guys in deeper water with some water clarity.

Guide wouldn't hurt but there is plenty of info out there to get you familiar with the lake.

Boat lanes are a must to follow. Other than that it is whatever style of fishing you like.
