I can do electrical, I work with mostly 480v 3 phase though. Part of the job on the farm

I can read a diagram and wire up a 480v 3 phase motor in no time.

Anything household beyond standard replacing receptacles I’ve got to call an electrician. The shite baffles me.

Can fix or build/make just about anything including machining (my trade), welding and carpentry, decent with electricity, etc. I'm legitimately very well rounded skill wise and currently halfway complete on my masters degree in industrial engineering.

I cannot paint for shite. Car, house, fence, anything. I suck at it and it drives me insane.

Good at - anything mechanical or electrical. I'm a damn good general purpose industrial badass.

Bad at - Whistling. Can't do it for shite. Drives me insane. I've been trying to teach myself any time I'm driving, which is a damn lot, for a long time now.

Bad

Mechanical
Electrical
Plumbing
Can do a little of all three, but it's pretty basic.

Good

Duck calling
Fishing
Pissing my wife off
Can do all really well, but the last one, only takes a second.

This I can do. Friends and family ask me to do this when I visit.

I get them like razors.

Pretty good with rifle and pistol but not so great with a shotgun.

Always been very good at being able to kill or catch just about anything. Also been very good at being able to take said dead critter and make a fine meal with it.

Never been able to do anything with music. Have owned 3-4 pawn shop guitars and same amount of instructional videos through the years. Can’t play a chord.

Through the years have been able to pick up quite a few handyman skills. Can hang and finish Sheetrock, do simple residential electrical and plumbing, and can work on small engines and fix simple issues.

Can’t cut crown molding to save my life. Will screw up 4 times just to get a piece to match, and still usually need at least a medium caulk job to hide my cut.

Lights out with a shotgun

Don’t miss with my 30-30 lever

Couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn from 10 feet away with my pistol

Try coping it, it’s more effort but you’ll waste less to get it right.

Pretty good at doing stuff with my hands.
I enjoy building stuff and learning the process of doing that.

When I’m planning projects I have it in my head what I want and am able to build it front that. My wife want to see what I’m thinking and I’m not good at being drawing out my plans.

Not great at electrical stuff. I can replace outlets, switches, lights fixtures, and such but not other stuff.

I am decent or good at pretty much anything fishing related, which is why I get invited to fish with charter boat captains etc, and have had a boat since I was like 6 or 7. That said since I lost vision in left eye and had neck surgery I am not good at backing up a boat now.
I either get it perfect first time or it takes me 3 times

ME: sometime tool toting mechanic here
I was welding before my teens
and was greasing track'ho at 15
the same summer I operated backhoes and made dynamite crew

When hunting and fishing I usually come back home better than most

With both green thumb and trim carpentry skills.

IRL I was a card system era programmer than got paid to teach & correct multi-degreed, PHDs, and many lettered engineers about this ever evolving thing called a computer. It was room size and quickly morphed into a little box called a PC, and then the DoD led to the gopher net . . Much the same way one summer before college stretched into two decades..... And so no degree.

The one thing for sure that they told me never to do. (the fortune 500 people - big place) was to never ever write anything ever again. Did it once and immediately told to stop. Believe it hurt a lot of smart educated people to find out they were getting schooled by an illerate dummy.

I never could whistle worth a shite

I can make your ears bleed. Seriously, whenever I hit the first whistle at a sporting event, people around me turn around with the quickness. By the end of the game, there's always someone with their fingers in their ears when I do it.

I had a girlfriend in college that could whistle and I was envious. Practiced for a couple of weeks and learned. I have to use both my pinkies to do it, never been able to do it well with one hand.

I suck at anything that needs finesse or touch. I can't caulk for crap. Decent at mechanical work, but I'm dropping the bolt, nut or tool multiple times.

Carpentry, I measure twice and still screw it up.

Most things associated with boats
Gardening
Working with dogs
Electrical stuff
Killing animals and catching fish
Cooking
Music
Taking photos

Things I'm not good at:

Any larger engine mechanical stuff
Whistling
I'm a medicore duck caller at best. My friends are all better.
Carpentry
Handguns
Operating equipment

What a fun post full of honesty and humility!

Good at: Figuring out just about anything to an above average level. I don't think I am expert at anything. But computers, woodworking, sports are all things I can do, but know that any given person will be better at anyone of those than I am. I can whistle loudly, but eff it up often, folding cloths, cleaning.
I do a decent amount of woodworking and people think I am very good at it, but down deep inside, I know I do not have the hand skills to ever make something truly special.

Average: guns, unclogging a drain, sharpening, welding, boats, mechanical, electrical, general carpentry (separate from woodworking)

Bad at: I cannot play an instrument, also cannot grow shite. I don't think I'm a particularly good driver, brutal at foreign languages, I cannot hide frustration in the slightest, I don't fish or hunt so there is no reason to think I'm good at those. Cannot finish sheetrock, cannot negotiate at all, cooking, can't draw.
