I have a PSA in 308. Good price and solid gun. A lot of fun to shoot. Good 2 stage trigger.

I have a basic $900 AR10 from PSA and it performs flawlessly. Never a single jam or failure. Chews up the cheapest wolf and Tula ammo I can find

If money isn’t a factor get a Larue PredatOBR. You can get in 308 or 6.5 CM. Most accurate non custom you can buy hands down. It will also hold its value.

If accuracy and reliability are important and you can afford it it’s worth it. I built an AR 10 with Areo upper and lower but put $700 barrel on it with adj gas block and Larue trigger. It’s pretty close to shooting with my buddies Larue. I still have $2300 in it with out optics.

Isa Larue worth the extra money? I mean really worth it?

Is it the best value? No

Is it the best? Quite possibly

Will you get a better rifle for more money? Yes

They use the best materials and put them together nicely. You use to be able to piece together a Larue AR10 for about $2k but it has climbed pretty steadily over the past couple of years.

LMT was mentioned, they are great and I have an LMT but it isn't as nice as Larue. I think Larue are better than KAC, KAC is still really good but they won't put as much effort into some of the finer things that don't make the rifle any more accurate or improve it's function where Larue makes sure every little part is finished nicely even if it doesn't improve the function.

Daniel Defense DD5 v4

ETA: didn't read previous comments. While somewhat pricey the DD just works and still significantly less than a Knights or even a Scar (not an AR10 but popular in the .308 shooters world). I went back and forth on this for quite awhile and landed on the DD.

I got mine from PSA. It’s a .308 AR-10. Use it for range and deer hunting. Love it.

Not particularly. I have enough things that I get sidetracked on and take up too much time.

I feel you I have several at-15 lowers and a couple of complete uppers and also some not complete uppers to use to finish off my lowers but I get sidetracked

Not that long ago, maybe a year? you could get Larue barrels and uppers for very reasonable prices. I was looking at a 7.62 Ultimate Upper Kit (no longer offered) and with a Larue lower it was coming in around $1500. His price structure has damn near doubled in a fairly short period.

I wouldn't have an issue with the PSA AR-10

I looked very hard at the Colt CM-901

I ended up with the FN SCAR17 - excellent rifle lighter than anything I looked at online at the time. Again excellent rifle extremely accurate for a semi-auto.

I was on the lake fishing all day so I haven't made a final decision yet. After doing some thinking while fishing, I have decided I want an 18" barrel so that cuts out some things like the SFAR. I don't plan on humping around with it and I have CQB under control. Looking for something to put a bipod on and be fairly accurate.

If I go mid range I'll probably get the M5E1. I've been looking at the LWRC but not sure I need that much rifle. And if go with the 20" over 16.1.

One that I've come across that no one has mentioned is the Christensen Arms CA-10 DMR or the Wilson Combat Super Sniper. Any thoughts?

frick it. I'm down to 3. LMT, LaRue or JP.

Unless something changes between now and early next week, I'm leaning JP Enterprises. I'm 90% sure that's where I'm going.

Those are nice. Isn't the only difference between the MARS and Defender just the ambidextrous stuff?

I have a windham weaponry src-308, upgraded to Midwest Industries MLok grip.
I have no complaints. I like my Nikon p308 glass although I know it’s not top of the line. Magpul bipod and TL-100 light if needed.
