re: Bulk mulch question

i always prefer bags because ive felt its easer to me to wheelbarrow about 5-6 bags at a time, then open a bag and spread.

Stine in Walker right now has 5 bags for $10 deal going (Mulch Madness)

Pull the cover off and spray it out???

There’s no cover. It’s all integrated. I’ve seen videos on cutting off a section of the top to allow access to spray it and then reinstalling an aftermarket top. Trying to avoid that route. I’ve also seen a pressure washer attachment to be able to fish into the drain and it back sprays as you pull it out. Was thinking someone local might have that capability or similar

Pool Deck Drain cleaning

Looking to clean out my pool deck drains. Installed 2012. Never been cleaned out officially and I’m sure full of roof shingle and debris. Any recommendations? Walker , LA

I bought my MSM turf from Cleggs.
Came with a care instructions print out that's easy.
It also came with a small measuring tube (in oz).
I actually spot sprayed dollar weed and clover yesterday.

1/4 teaspoon (0.0416 oz) MSM turf
plus
2 teaspoons (0.333 oz) of sticker surfactant
per gallon of water.

Where’s the new stream…

common bermuda yard question

Posted by LSUTIGERTAILG8ER on 2/28/25 at 10:26 am
does the first cut of the season need to be the scalp?
or can you trim it up now, then scalp after fear of frost?

like many the temps are all over in S LA, greened up and 80s, now brown again, just was thinking about riding over it.
My commercial Maytag gas dryer recently was serviced due to making loud noises, etc.
I was certain that it was the rollers, belt, something and almost bought the maintenance kit for my model and replaced myself.
Turns out, it was none of the componets, it was a ton of lent built up inside the blower wheel causing it to spin "out of alignment" and cause noise.
My dryer is literally up against the exterior wall and the hose run is 3 feet long at most.
Now what I learned is that for every 90 deg bend in a hose, it is equivalent to adding 5 foot to the run. With the front panel removed, I took the air compressor to the lent screen section and was amazed at how much was in there, despite cleaning the screen before each use
I also was told to get a lint brush and brush from the inside with the lint screen removed and the dryer running on "air flow only". Holding in the door button will allow the dryer to operate with the door open while you brush out everything and the blower blows it out.

remove the water flow restrictor from the shower head for more pressure

yard update and ?

growing season 2 on the centipede to bermuda plan
yesterday applied lesco stonewall 0-0-7 with prodiamine and applied MSM turf+ surfactant to pretty much everything green (clover, burweed, virginia buttonweed, etc) may have been a week late on the pre-emergent, but i mean we got 8" of snow last week, and now its 82 deg. Hoping the snow will help destroy the centipede on the rebound

At this point the thickest parts of the brown dormant bermuda have the fewest weeds which is what I want entirely.

How long should it take the MSM turf to do its thing?
When is the right time to know when to scalp and fertilize?

Look for the Stonewall bag.

LESCO Stonewall 0.68% Plus Fertilizer 0-0-7 is a pre-emergent plus fertilizer that enhances crabgrass control and feeds grass after winter. Apply at the beginning of the growing season for season-long crabgrass prevention and control.

I had a Polaris with booster pump for years. I never liked it. booster pump crapped out. I did not replace the pump. Capped those lines and went with the Nautilus Dolphin CC Plus electric and love it.
Also, around the time the booster pump was failing, we were constructing outdoor kitchen space. The polaris tail would always spray salt water all over the house windows and did not want the kitchen area getting sprayed too. those scrubby foam things never stayed on the polaris tail. the collection bag would always get holes in it, The Dolphin cleans much better.

re: Car batteries

I've had good luck with the gel batteries. and like posted before. at 1.5 years old from Oreillys, go bring it back and let them load test it and replace it for you. Should be able to pull up your purchase with your phone # without the receipt.
Browning A bolt 7mm mag synthetic stock/stainless barrel
and have it last?

it is completely cosmetic that the oil rubbed bronze finish has worn off over the years on the pop up drain stopper and seat in the sinks and the twist tub drain with scrubbing or cleaners, etc and has a copper/brass appearance.

trying to restore the look versus having to replace.

any suggestions

I have dolomite for outside kitchen / island. no issues so far. its more porous than granite, less porous than marble, but able to achieve the "veiny" look that the standard granite doesn't offer. if theres standing water from rain or sink splash or drinks, yes it will show a discoloration, but once dries it goes away. When I was shopping around at the time, all the granite started looking the same. I do have 3cm granite inside kitchen and bathrooms.
So I just wanted to throw Dolomite in the mix.
