re: What is the logic with not getting over in the right lane

With all of the things going viral these days, it's amazing one of us isn't skyscreaming "THE LEFT LANE IS FOR MF'S REALLY TRYING TO BREAK THE LAW."
I use 1/2" pvc
4 tees and enough pipe to make two arches.
Two tees on each side of the boat connected to each other a few feet apart for stability arches connected to the tees on opposite side of the boat. Works in down pours no problems.
Originally thought I would improve it but haven't had the need.
Edit: it's a small cc skiff with a poling platform obviously would need additional arches without the poling platform.

I came home to see my Mom, brought my two Pits with me. Her neighbor had a Frenchy.
My dogs ran back and forth on opposite sides of the chain link fence with the Frenchy. Looking through the window I was happy to see them apparently having fun. Watched for a minute or so and started tending my Mom.
Go back to the window a few minutes later to find the Frenchy jumped the fence and the three dogs were having the time of their lives. The Frenchy was surprisingly athletic and didn't give damn about how vicious my pitbulls were even at twice it's size. It was a sight. Similar to when we had Pits and Dachsunds.

Sounds like a great dog & fine addition to the family!
I'm not sure what we're going to do but things are amiss without my buddy!

We had American Pitbulls "Boudreaux and Gator" if you will at 65-95 pounds of solid muscle, athletic dogs with straight legs. Ours were game and excellent family dogs as well. They would not guard the home though.
That being said the breed needs a highly vigilant owner IMO. Similar to the Catahoula, the breed isn't for everyone.

The first Pit I owned as a teenager is responsible for saving 4 little girls in the Sabine River, Burr Ferry LA.
I've had a few off her excellent dogs for me.

One memorable one. I was fortunate enough to get one in my p-hole when I was a kid.
Humiliating experience, Mom with a match, then cream. Brothers in background singing Robs got a tick on his dick..... relentlessly.
Friends Mom, Dr.'s, Nurse's everyone had my unit in their hand. Eventually got a needle jabbed in my junk to numb it. Then the Dr. yanked it out, the numbing attempt didn't work. "Sucker" took some flesh from inside my p-hole. I could barely walk out of the hospital. Brothers had their song on repeat. Good times.

A friend of mine spent a couple weeks with his son camping at multiple locations/road trip. He told me about using fire starter packs. I relentlessly busted his balls. He sent me a package of something similar.
A few of us went below the turbines at Toledo Bend early February we threw a half bed of firewood down the bluff. The wind was blowing a heavy mist. We were wearing rain gear over winter gear. Everything was soaked. I threw 2 packs of that stuff on a log <-- lighter pine and had a blaze in 90 seconds.
I was glad to have it in a situation like that.

A friend of mine had a Rhodesian. He called him Cagey because he couldn't be caged. Dog was all over town and would look both ways before crossing the road. No kidding.

My brother had a lab/cur mix she was a mello dog. She would lay in front of the storm door and not move. I would literally slide her across the floor while opening the door to go inside the house. She couldn't care less.
I am really enjoying y'all talk about your dogs!

Capt. Sir,
You just described my dude to a T. I would be lying if I said your words didn't hit a sensitive spot.
Black mouth, crystal blue eyes, brown and white coat that oddly enough had a patch that looked like the profile of a giant schnauzer on his thigh and side. He had the same manors as you described with family and on the trail. I would have never guessed he had any pit in him other than his mother was pit. The father cur/plot.
One time hitch in the giddy up. He's the only dog I've owned that wanted to fight me. (over a smoked shoulder bone) I blame the plot side. That was a trying situation it came to blows. I starved him for a few days then hand fed him one kibble at a time until I felt he was on board (days on end.) Never another issue.
He was an outstanding animal other than he thought anyone coming to the house was to see him. His mannerisms I can only assume would be similar to a catahoula reason I'm considering the breed and reaching out here.

I appreciate all the responses. I'm going to end up with a pac before this is over with. Sorry I can't respond to everyone extremely busy with work but checking in periodically. Y'all are straight up it's really amazing to how dogs touch our lives. It's awesome to hear about different breeds being I've been a Pitbull guy since I was 16.
My first Pitbull hated the water at first then pulled a Lasie and alerted me to 4 little girls drowning in the Sabine River "Burr Ferry" 1984ish. We saved all 4 because of that dog. I kept that bloodline through several litters over 2.5 decades. Every dog I've owned came from my backyard in Vernon Parish including my Pit/Plot/Cur mix. Reason for my limited experience with other breeds. I appreciate Y'all and your experiences. Thank you please keep them coming.

The resounding gong on these from people I know is, if you want a smart and amazing dog get a blue healer.
Redbone is a slick animal didn't really consider until reading your post. Seems they won't shed as much as the breeds I've owned. <-- am I mistaken?
We bred Dachsunds as a kid. The have a lock jaw or atrong bite. Their job was to fight badgers in their hole, hunter pulls Dachsund by tail while the dog has the badgers. Awesome dogs had them with game dog pits Dachsunds can hold their own.
Friend has a bloodhound. Super sweet dog will sleep in the sxs all day no matter what's going on.
She loves to swim he can't keep her out of the water and that keeps everyone on edge because of the Gator population at the camp.

A friend has a golden doodle. Big strong dog, he's trained to get beer out of the fridge. He shuts the door too.
I've always appreciated the beauty of a GSP but couldn't tell you anything about them other than what I've read here. "They need to run"

A beagle is on the short list as well. I just like a bigger dog. My wife will have the beagle on the sofa more than likely
quote:Yes. We run dogs in JW Corbett WMA and sugar cane fields in South Florida.
Do you plan to work him?
