We are still gonna need you to respond to the e-mail allegations between yourself and said breeder.
Please remember sir, you are under OB oath.

I absolutely know he had no intentions of outing me.
When will I learn to mind my own effin bidness.

Anybody paid Cootkilla his retainer to come dispose of the worthless dog?

Mopar,
As I stated in the original post, and even bolded, I was still questioning if he had been beaten. Many people here came to the same conclusion and several did not. Based on that I can not say he was beaten with a gun, and have not definitively said you beat him. Maybe he is just gun shy but the account given in the OP is pretty interesting to say the least. As a result I modified the OP title. Even if he was not beaten he was "sold" (dog was free) as something you knew he was not and would likely never be.
For the record outing a poster would involve posting his real name, telephone #, address, place of business, etc. which is WAY OUT OF LINE. I have not done this and will not.

Bleeding, but you did copy and paste my TD info into the post as to say this is the guy....I did not give him away knowing he wasnt worthy of hunting. I told you he needed to be forced fetched, i told you he needed training i couldnt afford. You told me that would not be a problem for you. You said in the post "I know the previous owner lied." I did no such thing. I told you he was food aggressive towards my other dog. The thing you said about me telling the breeder he was aggressive and tearing up the fence....i believe i asked if food aggression was a trait in the breed....if anything was said about tearing up a fence i must have written it wrong or they read it wrong, i found out he tore up the others guys fence when i asked if he wanted him back, you know what he said "no, put him down then." He never tore up a fence or dug out of my yard. I just didn't think it was necessary to say the previous owner lied. I thought with the proper training he would come along just fine. If he doesn't work for you, give him away, to a pet home, but don't bash someone on here on your opinion.

I would hope to god that this man wouldn't dare beat a dog. We work so hard with our canines to train them appropriately and keep them on target, but never through beating. Always with strict verbal commands.
Mopar - haven't read through the whole thread but I agree. ORIGINAL owner, no, PREVIOUS, yes.

Popcorn, I would never beat a dog I was dual purpose K9 handler for 3 years for my old Police Dept. Loud firm, verbal commands, and quick leash correction....no hitting no beating, no shock collars

X4. That's how I am with my GSDs.
Just clarifying. I hadn't read the whole thread yet.
Hell, one of them almost always wants to jump through the window to escape the vacuum
Dogs scare differently.

It is certainly possible the owner before you beat the dog but unlikely it was with a shotgun as the guy was a non hunter.
Now that he is back I will continue to work with him and seek some professional help in his training. Obedience and staying in the damn yard if nothing else. I'm glad to hear you did not hit him with a gun. FWIW the breeder and most trainers I have spoken with are strongly against force fetch training also.
Bourg, no one cares in this day and age if people are in or out of a closet.

confused by this, if you would have read the whole thread...
I know the dog was scared of a shotgun....for the first 15-16 months of his life he was a spoiled fay treat trained backyard dog, never left the peoples yard. i took him out into the woods and saw his reaction to the shotgun, never brought him around one again, that was only a few weeks before i gave him away..figured i would continue with obedience and retrieve training then tackle the gun issue...and i also believe i told the new owner that the first time i exposed him to the shotgun he had an issue with it

I agree, force fetch can be good or bad, natural prey or hunt drive in a dog is always better. But it can be done successfully with the right trainer
