The fish are actually out here in the summer, I would bring an extra 5 or 10 gallons of fuel though.

Didn't know that, just fished on one over the summer and it was really nice, it was however brand spanking new.
In that price range I would take a look at the 26' sea cat hybrid, bad arse boats for the LA coast.
